Public Dog Park And Cocoa Beach Access — Attraction in Cocoa Beach

Really wish the hours were a bit more clear and easier to find before you’re made to pay parking in advance. never been to a “dog” beach where dogs are barely allowed. I paid for parking in advance and according to the hours of dog park & dog beach it closes at 6:30; so i drove 3 hours, realized i forgot the beach bag and leashes, and spent a-lot of money replacing it all just to get two minutes on the beach before being told we were too early by an hour and a half. The worker said this happens all the time and there’s a lot of confusion around it. I see why when in bold lines it says entering dog beach and in tiny little words underneath there are restrictions that you can’t see unless you’re standing right infront of it … but if you don’t pay for parking before you park it could be a $50 fine. Turns out dogs are allowed about 7 hours in the day which is not what I expected! i’ve only stayed on the gulf side previously, which is very dog friendly so i’ve never heard of anything like this. the beach is gorgeous but this was a bummer, especially compared to...

One of the employees on the beach was very rude my family and I was there in June 2021 bought our dog we was told we couldn’t have the dog on the beach so we had to take it back to the car leaving the car running after we have drove from Atlanta. So an hour or 2 had passed so my son go to rent a float from the employee he then tell him he wasn’t going to rent to him in a very nasty way because we had a dog in the car and he was getting ready to call the police on us. Instead of him telling us when we first got there that we had to go 15 miles down the street to the dog park after we have rented tents and chairs and everybody else had paid to park. Here is a review for all those that don't live here and think that your dog is allowed on this area of the beach only to learn that he/she is not allowed on that part of the beach, the dog park is located in front of the park closest to the main road, A1A. If you would like to bring your dog on the beach then i suggest you drive a little more south where this is allowed like 14th or 15th S. South. Please dont forget to grab a couple bags and PICK UP YOUR DOG POOP!! Please keep our beaches clean and have a great time.
