Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in Cocoa

I walked in about 10 days ago, having forgotten my 50 percent off coupon, and they wouldn't honor the deal. So I walked out, and walked back in about a week later, holding the coupon. This time I was told it had expired (it had no date on it), but that they would honor it for just this week. So I ordered two extra large pizzas (one for me and one for a neighbor), while discovering that you can't get the thin crust nor the thick crust with an extra large pizza. The pizza was good -- not great -- I think due to the quality of the cheese. The pizza sauce, again, wasn't bad -- just not great. The extra large was also a little smaller than advertised -- but again, not a big deal. They are in a fiercely competitive pizza market, with truly great pizza available at Odyssey just down the street, and cheaper, comparable pizza available at Domino's, also just down the street. Still they are in a great location near Publix so they will probably do fine. I did hang onto my remaining coupons, just in case I decide to give them...

We have been to this location many times over the past few months, and ordered the same thing every time. It has been really good quality and portions every time, until now. We order our usual, and the salad that we got, drastically decreased in size and no longer was size-able for a meal. The amount of meat and cheese was cut into a quarter of the normal amount, and the lettuce and croutons increased to four times the amount. When we called to question the change, we were told that there was no change. We were told we ordered a smaller size than before, however my recipes prove that we did not. Instead of offering to give us a new salad, with the right proportions, we were told we were wrong, and even had to fight tooth and nail to get a refund. We will, despite having been loyal customers, never be back, and encourage everyone to stay away and not bring money to a business that will cut corners and portions to save themselves a few dollars, at the expense of their customers, and...

This location used to be a favorite for my family. However, when picking up our last order a few weeks ago, we watched a delivery driver come inside, set their food delivery bag on the floor, then immediately go to the prep station where he reached into the cheese bin with both hands and prepared the next order. He never washed his hands. No one in the food prep area was wearing gloves, and the owner watched while not saying a word. He was also taking orders and payment at the register, then immediately prepping food - also without washing his hands. I can’t get comfortable serving my family food from a restaurant with unsanitary practices like this. I hope they do better because it was our favorite pizza spot before seeing/knowing this.
