This is really the worst McDonalds I've ever been to. I've given it so many chances because it's the only one within miles from me, and I moved here 2 years ago.
It's the slowest drive-thru I've ever encountered with a McDs. Even moving here from KS... I've been to a lot. One visit was THIRTY minutes. Why I waited that long, I have no idea. I guess I was just really curious how a McDs could take so long, so I stayed in line! (That, and the Wendy's at the other end of the highway hadn't opened yet, or I probably would have left). There was no reason that I could see! No malfunctioning equipment, no staff apologizing with a reason, no lack of stock... just took 30mins! I believe I was only 5 cars back?
I can't recall getting a smile from any of the staff in these 2 years. Like, I'm a nuisance to them. Me paying for food that's giving them a paycheck... and I'm annoying to them. (?)
Unhappy customers inside, waiting, and making loud verbal comments...it's an uncomfortable experience to dine-in. One time I brought a guest from GA, and our kids, because it was raining. We thought we'd eat lunch and play in the indoor playground. Well, the playground was closed. No reasoning. No sign. Just locked. It has very limited seating, so we and kids waited, miserably, not only for food this time, but for a tabe, too.
Today, after a visit, it was finally time I reviewed. They handed me my food, which they had to question what I had, without a "thanks for coming," or any eye contact for that matter. I sat and waited for my drink. Finally, she looked at me,...just looked, no talking...and I said, "I had a Coke with the combo." She looked down and handed me one of four drinks sitting by the window. No apologies, and, again, no eye contact. Like, I had bothered her.
I really tried to let them redeem themselves, and convince me they deserved stars, but just no. This location is TERRIBLE. Stangely enough, however, the food has been fine every visit. Taste is normal, and order is correct. So there's that. If you don't mind a wait, and treated like a nuisance, you certainly get what you pay for at...
Read moreCurbside pick-up at 2200 State Road 524 in Cocoa, Florida failed and the app instructed me to go inside to resolve, which defeated the purpose of curbside pick-up...they should have sent someone out to my car. Once inside, the person behind the counter had no enthusiasm, mumbled, and wasn't very forthcoming with any information. Eventually he said "it says it hasn't been paid for." After an odd pause, I asked if I should try to pay again using the counter-mounted equipment. He mumbled again and nodded, so I ran the same card I tried to pay with online, which McDonalds already had on file since my last pick-up order (which was successful, but they got that order wrong...2 regular McMuffins instead of 2 sausage, egg and cheese McMuffins). The counter payment was successful. Then it took them nearly 13 minutes to make my order (1 qp with bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo, and a fish sandwich). After the counterperson gave me my order, I went back out to my car. Since I have not received a correct order from that particular store for more than 2 years...NOT an exaggeration (I only visit once every 2-3 months), I unpacked my order to check it. I guess I shouldn't have bothered to walk out to my car after all...my qp was missing the tomato. I would have just driven off as-is, but since McDonald's charges for each little item you add ($.10 for mayo, $.25 for lettuce and $.40 for tomato), even though they did NOT reduce the price because I asked for NO onions and NO salt, I felt compelled to go back in again. I presented the same dullard my qp along with my diagnosis and my 2-year history at that store. No apologies from Mr. Excitement but he did return the qp to the confused-looking person in the kitchen who had prepared the burger. He had to explain it to her a couple times before she accepted the sandwich for repair...I wonder if she didn't understand English, or if she just couldn't understand his mumbling any better than I could. Why can't this store ever provide a pleasant...
Read moreI’ve never had issues with food, maybe a remake on a drink once or twice. But I’m going to say something about the attitude that’s given from one specific employee. The first time I’d ever seen this person she left a bad impression, so every time after that she has been rude. When I’ve / we’ve asked for something or even just me/us saying thank you. There’s always a “I don’t like you, your an inconvenience” attitude. The first time me and my mother were waiting on a specific item (they stopped making this item because it “wasn’t selling enough to make” -which in turn won’t sell because people aren’t going to wait the 12 minutes it takes to make them) when we got to the window my mother asked if she could get her sandwich while we waited. This employee stopped in her tracks and froze, gave my mother a death stare, then finally asked us to pull up to number 1. I JUST SMILED NICELY. When our food came out, she damn near, threw the bag at us. And ever since she has been so rude and uncomfortable to be around. Everyone Else at this location is kind nice helpful friendly me and my mom have been coming to this location consistently for six years. Me and my mother have both worked in the food industry Mostly serving in restaurants. So we have understanding that sometimes people may be going through things and they might be stressed because we all do. In this situation I don’t believe...
