Rebellion Wine Bar — Restaurant in Cocoa

We really cant say enough amazing things about this hidden gem in downtown Cocoa.

We are a local Photo and Video company stationed in Brevard and were brought on by the owners Joe and Michelle to take photos of their establishment and the services they offer. The words 'wow' and 'delicious' quickly became our main vocabulary during our session with Rebellion to say the least.

Immediately we were struck by how relaxed and inviting the atmosphere is. The warm, intimate lighting complements the hospitality and kindness of the staff. They've really outdone themselves on the presentation, which brings me to the next point and the main attraction of Rebellion, the wine and food.

The hand picked selection of wines (each from different regions of the world) is amazing in itself, and with the help of the knowledgeable staff, making a choice was a breeze. As with the wine, the same goes for the food choices. With an eye for quality ingredients, breads and choice cuts of meats/cheeses, along with the presentation of each plate, you can easily say that Rebellion strives to "Rebel" from the rest.

I am a plebian when it comes to wines. I love the atmosphere and the food. I'll split the review nto two categories, drinks and food.

Drinks: They know a lot about wines, and I'll take their recommendations any day. Pairing wines with food is also something they are very great at helping out with. I'm glad I don't get judged for being a newbie, and they're willing to go the extra mile with explaining things. They have a Moscato D'asti that is absolutely perfect. It's sweet, and has this very very light carbonation and it just makes my mouth water. 10/10.

Food: I'm way more of a guy that enjoys meat, so I do have a bias. Their scallop tartare is amazing! I also tried both the Burrata Salad and Beet Salad.

Usually, I wouldn't justify spending money on a salad, but these are amazing and worth it! Everything is fresh on top of it. I haven't tried the separate meats and cheeses but that's for another time!

For deserts, I've had their key lime pie one and their salted caramel gelato. Two thumbs up.

Rebellion wine bar could be referred to as Cocoa village’s best kept secret. There really isn’t anything else like it in the area, and they have done an excellent job in offering a small, intimate bar setting that feels upscale and unique. Their food menu offers some incredibly fun and delicious appetizers and sandwiches, complimented with a rotating selection of natural wines that never fail to impress! Rebellion puts thought into their menu (both food and wine), and its reflects on the quality of each. Excellent option for a date night, or even a casual dinner with friends for their delicious ramen or burger nights.

Recently I worked with the owners, Joe and Michelle, on hosting a private celebration this summer. It went off without a hitch, and it was truly a pleasure being hosted by them for such a high spirited gathering of family and friends!
