I just want to start this by saying that all the waitresses I’ve had coming here have been lovely and wonderful, and I really want to love this place but I have had some problems.
The first time I’ve ever been here was about a month and a half ago, I went with my parents. Our food was good except that my mother had ordered a salad with a lamb patty and they accidentally gave her a hamburger patty. All three of us tasted it and I can assure you it was beef. When we brought it up to our waitress she was very kind, but shortly thereafter the “manager” came over and told us there was no possibility that it was a beef patty, and she asked that we give her the patty back to take to the kitchen and allow the cook to taste it (which I found a little odd). After a few minutes she brought the partially eaten and cold patty back and insisted again that it was in fact lamb, because she “knows where they got the meat from and there’s no way they could have mixed it up”. She could neither confirm or deny whether anyone had actually tasted it. She refused to make a fresh patty, and asked my mother if she wanted the old one back. After declining, the waitress did take it off the bill and apologized over and over again regarding how that had been handled.
I returned today for lunch and once again the waitress was absolutely lovely and wonderful in every way, however it seemed as though no one else was there and it was quite busy. The food and service took an exceptionally long time, and I genuinely want to reiterate that it was not the waitresses fault, more likely a management issue. Perhaps more staff should have been scheduled to work?
With all that said, I do plan to return there because I like the menu and the outdoor seating is great. Good ambiance and a great location. I really hope they can pull it together regarding time management and general operations. I know it’s been a hard time for everyone and I do want to give them the benefit of the doubt that they can improve on...
Read moreMy wife and I had lunch here after going to the Cocoa Beach Art & Craft Fair this past Saturday May 10th. I ordered an Americana and my wife had an Americana with chicken breast and avocado. Neither of us got French fries though we both ordered cole slaw. Not too complicated. We eventually got our meal 45 minutes later (that's 45 minutes after we ordered). Haleigh, our server, was very polite and did bring over ketchup, mayo, and mustard after about 35 minutes and stated the food was on its' way. At one point 3 tables around us were completely empty. I'm not normally a picky person about stuff like this but 45 minutes seems a little long for this type of meal to be prepared especially considering the "crowd" at the time. While we really enjoyed the Art and Craft Fair and look forward to attending future ones with friends we most likely will find a different place to dine.
Thanks for getting back to me and offering your perspective. Just to be clear if you are not located at 401 Delannoy Ave, Cocoa then kindly accept my apology. If this is you then please understand, we were not in a hurry that day and looked forward to an enjoyable meal as the Pub looked very welcoming. We were seated and our order taken within 10 minutes. Patrons came and went and as mentioned previously, at one time we were next to 3 empty tables. Your point regarding it being Mothers Day week as well as a craft fair weekend is a good one and I'm sure you planned ahead for this with extra staff. That said I think 45 minutes is a long time to wait for a lunch, something you admit yourself you strive not to have happen. I appreciate your invite to return at a time when things are not so hectic. it will be something we'll consider. And yes, this was the first review I ever wrote and had no idea where or how to post it. Hopefully in the future I'll be writing only positive ones. Lastly, the...
Read moreIt is 4th of July, so it is busy tonight . But my burger came out over cooked and tiny !! The sweet potato fries were cold. They sent the manager over but he was belligerent and said “you want another one?” And I said “sure, to go because we don’t have time to eat it”. I made him leave the burger so I could take a picture of the pitiful patty, it’s the tiny brown part to the right (cut in half). The bun was stale . Manager unkind and ungracious. Waiter sort of apologized.
As a follow up the burger they sent home with me was a spicy buffalo, but I had ordered a Village Blues with sweet potato fries. The regular fries they sent me home with were pretty hot and pretty yummy unlike the cold sweet potato fries . The manager quipped “oh so you want me to leave THIS burger while I make you another?!” When I asked the waiter “does this look like a normal burger to you ? (Flipping over the tiny piece of brown that was “half” my burger), he said “I don’t have my glasses on”. I was looking for him to say “oh no we usually do much better than that” . Instead he said “don’t blame me”. He had come half Way through earlier and said “sorry for the long wait , your order is coming out soon”. 20 min later it came out over done and cold fries .
Upside : the spicy buffalo wrong replacement was actually normal size and pretty yummy and the fries heated up well and were also yummy. I feel like the place could be good on another day, but I’ve never had a manager act so irritated. Weird .
Note: I changed my rating from 1 to 3 stars Bc the owner wrote me a nice email . Thank you Patrick. Plus the watermelon drink I had was very good. Thank you for your apology and...
