Knit & Stitch Boutique — Local services in Cocoa

This is one of my favorite places in the world. I can't say that lightly. If you're a knitter, crocheter, spinner, or fiber enthusiast, visit this and behold the awesome. A caveat: it's located in a small, old building with a charming atmosphere (next to an antique store) but it's not very accessible at all. I have to use a special small wheelchair to get in, and even that takes some doing. But the owners take special care to help me in and get around the store and get what I want, and it is SO worth it! It looks like one of those magic shops in a movie. The walls are lined from floor to ceiling with shelves of glorious texture and color, all kinds of fibers in all the good brands. Then there are the books, notions, needles, the finished models, the table with friendly people working around it, and the knowledgeable shop ladies. Each one has her own specialty. Knit & Stitch is my home away from home. The yarn variety and selection is amazing, and the staff is helpful, encouraging, and love their craft. I'll go in there just for inspiration, as they have samples on display from all different types of projects, and show what you'll make in upcoming classes. The range of tools is astonishing as well, and they've always got something new that makes my knitting easier to do. If you're just passing thru the area - this is a definite stop - they have custom dyed skeins from several yarn companies that are exclusive to Knit & Stitch - so you can get souvenir...

This shop was a life saver! Having had my knitting project stolen on vacation and facing an unexpected 26 hour car ride home without it, I convinced my husband to hop off 95 and detour to Knit & Stitch. They were so nice and helped me find the perfect color of Malabrigo Rios and needles for a hat to work up on the long drive home.
