Have been looking for a place that sells Turkish delights and found this haven. At the check out, the cashier asked if it's my first time and I said yes. I didn't know the store was there the whole time (just over a mile from our house). He asked if I wanted to try their food. I said, yes, this and pointed to my stuff.
He said no, I meant that - and pointed towards the back. And I saw the most beautiful thing - shawarma skewers, and more food. I was overwhelmed by what's on the shelves and didn't notice that they offer authentic Lebanese food. He made me try their chicken and beef shawarma, their hummus and garlic sauce. And I ended up buying the beef one, noticed the moussaka and falafel so grabbed them too.
I told him that shawarma is popular in the Philippines and I would have it at least once a week - which surprised him. (Really? Who sells them? Filipinos? How?). 😂
I went home, high from the experience. And Tony got to experience another culinary first.
Growing up in the 80s, Lebanon (Beirut) meant war and explosions on the news. This place reminded me that it's more than that. It's a rich culture of food and wonderful smells and friendly people.
Will come back for the platters. And get the name of the wonderful gentlemen who literally walked me through a sea of gastronomical delights. A literal feast for the eyes and taste...
Read moreI can’t recommend this Mediterranean restaurant and market highly enough—it’s my go-to spot for the finest shawarma sandwich in South Florida. I’ve been stopping by at least once a month for some time now, and each visit reinforces why this place stands out. As a guy who appreciates a quick, satisfying meal, I’m thoroughly impressed with their shawarma. On my last visit, I took a photo of my sandwich: warm, perfectly grilled bread packed with tender, flavorful meat, a rich sauce, fresh greens, ripe tomatoes, and those zesty pickled turnips that add an authentic edge. It’s a solid, delicious experience every time. But the shawarma is just the beginning. Their platters are equally impressive, offering a hearty selection of grilled meats, smooth hummus, fresh tabbouleh, and top-notch falafel. The market section is a bonus—I often pick up olives, spices, or freshly baked goods to take home. It’s a fantastic resource for anyone who enjoys Mediterranean cuisine. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, ideal for a fast lunch or a casual meal with friends. The staff are courteous and efficient, enhancing the overall experience. Pricing is fair, reflecting the quality and generous portions—a great value. I’d love to see this place get the recognition it deserves, as it’s clear they put real care into what they do, and I’m confident others will appreciate it as...
Read moreI’ve been coming here since they opened and have brought all my family members and we regularly shop here but even with the delicious food the service is just not it, multiple times the workers have given me a hard time, the last time I went I purchased a item and it was expired I noticed 20 min after I had purchased it and was still in the area so I went back, the worker apologized and was shocked that it was expired but once he called his manager (i assume) he continued to argue with me saying that the date is in “Arabic” and the dates are switched around, I let him know I was not comfortable eating it since i didn’t want to take the chance of getting sick he tells me he doesn’t do refunds but will just do it for me but the way he said it with so much attitude. Again this isn’t the first time dealing with bad service another time I ordered a online order 30 min before picking it up I go in and there was a line after waiting once I get up to the front I see my order right behind the register the cashier tells me to wait and I stand waiting 15 min as he does other things I even tried to tell him that I’m just picking up the order behind but he just ignored me. I honestly really enjoy the food but would rather drive 40 minutes to another shop then deal with this customer...
