After a long day on the road from Frontier Days to Yellowstone National Park, we found Cassie's Steakhouse in Cody, Wyoming. Our decision to dine here was a spur-of-the-moment choice, and I can confidently say, it was a good one! The service at Cassie's is outstanding. Our waiter, a friendly and polite young cowboy, was the epitome of excellent customer service. His upbeat attitude and diligent service were so refreshing that I felt the need to tell him he's destined for great things. The hospitality industry would surely benefit from more individuals like him. On to the star of the evening - the food. I savored the 16oz Bison Ribeye, a dish that I can best describe as pure delight. Tender, succulent, and cooked to perfection, the Bison Ribeye alone would make me a return customer. Accompanying my steak was a crisp salad topped with what tasted like homemade ranch dressing, adding a wholesome touch to the meal. What made our experience at Cassie's even more enjoyable was the restaurant's ambiance. The music playing softly in the background created a warm, inviting atmosphere that complemented the exceptional food and service. In summary, our dinner at Cassie's Steakhouse was a memorable experience of excellent service, delicious food, and a wonderful ambiance. I'm already looking forward to our next visit and would highly recommend Cassie's to anyone traveling through Cody, Wyoming. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this gem is worth a visit!

There are two musts when visiting Cody WY. First, the Cody Nite Rodeo followed by a nice drink and dinner at Cassie's Steakhouse. The bartender is an absolute treasure, and if you get a chance to sit at the bar, you'll have a very enjoyable evening. Their alcohol selection is broad, and they have several local to the state of WY. Their beer selection is also decent and provides you with a wide range of options depending upon your pallet. We have had steaks all over the country, and this one was superb. We prefer Pittsburg rare steaks in general because the flavor is amazing, and you don't overcook the steak. Cassie's isn't set up for that style but did not disappoint with a regular rare steak. Nicely cooked and not overly seasoned to cover the flavor of the meat. I pulled a wild card and also got an adult grilled cheese! For the child in me, it was absolutely worth it. The cheeses mixed well, and the bacon had a wonderful taste. It wasn't overly greasy or buttery and had a good crispy crunch to the bread. Wither you get hand cut home style fries or sweet potato fries, both are excellent and won't disappoint.

Where the hell is Mel? We were so looking forward to our dinner at Cassie's. We are visitors and come every year for the great steaks, friendly service and warm atmosphere. No more. The restaurant is under new ownership. We had a 6:30 reservation. I called to confirm and was told they couldn't find it although the hostess remembered my name. It was made in person. The hostess was completely befuddled with many empty tables available. The food was barely fair. The ribeye with " demi Glace and smothered in portobellos" was not. One lonely mushroom and brown gravy smothered the steak. The salad never made an appearance . The smoked trout dip was chunks of cream cheese with something, not quite sure what mixed in. Good thing, because the steaks arrived within 2 minutes of the appetizer. The server even commented "I hope you liked your trout" We were so looking forward to our Cssies's tradition. Too bad. PS. Mel is a manager that used to work there and kept things running like clockwork. Someone needs to get this restaurant back on track. This restaurant is completely off the rails.

I will preface this with the following information: 1) It was July3rd at dinner time approximately 6:30PM when we entered restaurant 2) we did go in without a reservation 3) I understand staffing everywhere is an issue because I am also in the service industry. The hostess set the first impression poorly from the get go. She said follow me, then goes back to greet another couple, then answers the phone while we are waiting and another staff member asked if they could seat us and she said no. She kept telling everyone on the phone that they were expecting a party of 20 at 7PM so they had to cut off reservations. The restaurant had open seats everywhere and staff standing around. Yet she turned away two walk in parties and a phone party calling to make reservations. Then she proceeded to tell us, ā€œYou’re lucky!ā€ Sat us down by where the band was setting up. The waitress took forever to come take our order, it took a while to just get something to drink (non-alcoholic), food took longer than usual (30+ minutes) to get to us and the food was not worth the money. The restaurant was not busy by the time we got our food and still had ample open seats all across the dining room, bar area and the three areas even with the 20 person party. We didn’t order anything extravagant (salad, sandwich and salad). Food was not worth the money. Come to find out the hostess was more interested in being a band groupie than anything else. Very poor impression by hostess, service and food quality/price. I believe the owner might want to reconsider their hostess choice especially when she is turning away business on a holiday weekend when there’s ample seating and staff. Therefore, I would NOT recommend, especially for the food/price. Food was not that great either and I was in the service industry. Based on your reply, all I can do is laugh bc you addressed all but didn’t address the poor quality food. I’m glad your hostess followed your direction to the T. ...

Went for dinner tonight with my husband and we waited for while for the hostess, and when she did finally come up to the front she completely ignored my husband and and spoke to the next guest.I stepped away to get us both a beer. Come to find out that they were out almost of 1/2 of the beers on tap and to top it off our beers ended being warm. I honestly feel that was because there were just washed due to the lack of glasses but at the same time it was not busy. Took forever ever for the waitress to get our order and then longer to get our burgers. ( we got med and med rare) after I took a few bites of my burger and ended up finding a hair in it and literally almost threw up. When we told the waitress she said let me see what I can do. She literally came back to ask me what color was the hair 😔 not once did the manager come out to speak with us. I have been in the food industry for more than 20 years from being a server all the way to management and I would have never come out to ask the customer what color was the hair as a server and when I was the Manager i went out personally to discuss the matter with the customer and I took care of it. Granted yes they gave me 50% off of my burger but when I asked to speak to the manager we were told that she had left for the evening but they would take off my meal off the bill, at this point we already paid the bill and said it's fine leave the way it is and left. After reading recent reviews and comments left by the owner/ manager I would be surprised how much longer that they will be in business, unfortunately businesses with previous stellar reputation can be destroyed by poor management and or...
