I stopped at Atlanta Bread & Bar in Terminal A at the Atlanta airport, and it was a surprisingly great airport dining experience. The first thing that stood out was how friendly and personable the staff were — everyone I interacted with was upbeat, welcoming, and happy to help. It made the visit feel a lot more relaxed and enjoyable, especially for an airport setting where service can often feel rushed. I ordered the honey sriracha lime chicken wings, which came with shoestring fries, and everything was really good. The wings had a nice balance of sweet heat and tangy flavor, and the fries were crisp and seasoned just right — definitely better than your average airport meal. I tried the Fire Me Up Mule, and while it was good, I honestly couldn’t taste the Fireball at all. It didn’t have any more “fire” or kick than a regular mule, so flavor-wise it fell a bit flat on the spicy cinnamon promise. Still enjoyable, just not what the name suggests. The restaurant was crowded, which I take as a good sign, but despite the traffic the service was still smooth and the food came out in a reasonable time. There’s also great seating for people-watching, which is particularly entertaining in a busy hub like ATL. It’s a good spot to grab a bite, relax between flights, and take in the airport energy. Overall, Atlanta Bread & Bar is a solid choice if you’re flying through Terminal A — good food, great staff, and a lively atmosphere. I’d definitely stop here again.

My takeaway is that it’s like Panera lite, if anyone’s familiar with Panera Bread. I stopped here for lunch. I was initially seated at a table right at the edge of the seating area where people were walking by with no divider between myself and traffic and it was a little uncomfortable since I was hoping for something more relaxed, so I asked if I could move to a different table, and they were chill about accommodating that. The waitress that ended up serving me at the new table was friendly, and my food came out super quickly. I did a half & half with the fresh caprese sandwich and tomato basil soup. The food was fine but not exactly impressive. The soup was flavourful and the feta topping was an interesting touch, but it had the ultra-pureed consistency of something from a can and it was a little oily for my taste. The sandwich was just very average. The bread was fresh. The meal was only about $15 before tip, so in the airport context I feel like I got what I paid for, but if there’s a next time at ATL, I think I’ll pay the price of a more expensive restaurant for better quality. If you just want to sit down and be served fast, this is the spot for you.

On November 21, I stopped to get a chicken Waldorf sandwich on a croissant and a coffee. After waiting for 20+ minutes, I was handed a bag. When I confirmed it was on a croissant and not bread, the worker took it back. He went somewhere to get the proper bread and was reassembling my sandwich. I looked over the counter and because he was scraping the items from the bread to the croissant, I asked to make sure there is a enough chicken salad. Another worker told me to mind my business and back up, and I was tossed my bag. When I settled on the plane and opened my sandwich, I found barely 2 tbsps of chicken salad on a very stale croissant. I have attempted, 5 differnet times over two months, to talk to someone at HMS Host before posting an unfavorable review. The service member sends messages forward but I have yet to recieve a response even though it shows someone read my complaint. Unrelated to the food: The coffee station was untidy. Sugar packets, creamer containers, and napkins were littering the drink station.

Food great. Atmosphere good. Service....terrible. Started ok. Ordered Hennessey on Ice. Emphatically told a double was only 3$ more. I said ok. Few mins later as I looked at menu, was asked what I wanted. Ordered wings BUFFALO. Heard bartender say, "hot". Was never asked if I wanted fries or celery/carrots (per menu) Few mins later guy to my left orders food, and a shot of Jack Daniels. Again, I hear, "double only 3$ more, which he agrees to. He then asked if I was ready for another one. I replied yes, and asked for a Miller Lite bottle also. Shortly thereafter a new rocks glass with brown liquor is sat IN FRONT OF MY EMPTY GLASS. Guy beside me got nothing. Later I remind bartender he forgot my bottle of Miller Lite, which he corrects immediately. Then I poured new glass on of my first glass.....Jack Daniels, not Hennessey. Told bartender of mistake, told him not big deal...I'll drink it, just didnt want other guy to be charged. Then food came out...Teriyaki wings....with fries! When I told bartender about mistake he says "no...no..no..I got this right". Pulls out a register tab as proof as if it mattered (it also said I ordered a Jack Daniels!) Then Guy beside me gets gets food.....Teriyaki wings with fries...surprise surprise. Its at this point he realizes he doesn't have his drink. checks his receipt tab, sees its not on there and orders another shot. Bartender tries to get another double which he declines. He leaves, another customer sits...and orders wings. Asks for "BBQ". I swear to God bartender says...."Teriyaki....got it". Un-freaking believable! Not making this up. After talking to co-workers about "corporate" being there, he quickly closed out tabs and left. Will NEVER go here again strictly because of this bartender screwing EVERYTHING up. A shame too because food and atmosphere were great (despite fact Igot TERYAKI instead of Buffalo), and I travel...

Horrible experience one guy pulling all the weight... Serving drinks.. greatly appreciating the upselling he advertise while the ghetto girl with an attitude like someone owes her something was ignorant and rude? Bad business I'm in the bizz... If someone asked you for their bill especially at an AIRPORT . Your response should never be "I anit your bartender" while servicing the bar.. my response to her was ok..... YOUR A TEAM! Regardless if your my bartender or not your a team. You can obviously take 10 seconds out your time to print my check so I can make it on my flight on time without running out on your tab.. rude, disrespectful.. and unexceptable! Who does that? Feel bad for the guy with the dreads who actually went above and beyond to provide great customer experience to have a lazy girl like that standing in the background while he's pulling her weight. It wasn't fair to him to receive that type of ignorance. 2 seconds? Really ? Not like you had to move and make me a drink.. get rid of her because of that my bartender he had to take loss on my $40 tab which he greatly earned a 20%+ . She could careless about her coworkers and job... your not my bartender.. really? Buddy who gave me good service had to get a $0 tip because of her ignorance! Shame on you "Atlanta bread and bar"! For her inconsiderate experience. I stop in Atlanta all the time for my business trips. Because of her attitude I will never spend another dollar at your bar. You have people like that working for you I have no time to waste my energy or money on that ignorance. Give that guy with the dreads a raise and get rid of that ghetto girl who thinks the world owes her something. Because of her customer service you will forever lose my...

We got alerted our flight changed 10 minutes from boarding to concourse a to concourse e. The staff member wasnt behind the bar so I sent a member of the party to catch the flight. I then saw the staff member using his phone against the wall in the dining section. Once he realized I wanted to pay, he gave me the credit machine and I left 20%. Once we ran to the tram to go to concourse e and started to board the tram, the staff member ran up to me, tapped me on the shoulder and told me to step away, that there was an error with the transaction. So the other member of the party hopped off the tram as well to see what was wrong. He told us the card reader had an error, he wanted to run the card again, but the reader didn't work away from the restaurant so we had to go back upstairs. We ran back together and when we go to the restaurant, I re-entered my info, scanned my card, and i asked to talk to his manager because we weren't going to make the flight. He pointed his manager out and when I walked up to her, i said excuse me a few times but she refused to make eye contact or respond anyway toward me so we just continued to repeat our run to concourse e to not waste time on someone who wasnt going to give us the least amount of customer service. In conclusion, her lack of sensitivity and professionalism sets a low bar for the rest of the staff to take their job seriously at Atlanta Bread Company / Sweetwater, which is apparent from this scenario. Customer service obviously needs drastic improvement regardless where a location is established; therefore, we will be avoiding other locations for both corporations with this kind of...
