Foodie heaven takes off! ✈️ Atlanta Airport crowned as the #1 food airport in the U.S.! Turns out layovers aren’t boring—because I’m too busy eating my way through! As one of the world’s busiest airports, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) doesn’t just make you “chase flights”—it makes you “chase flavors”! Recently, *Food & Wine* magazine officially announced: ATL tops the list of “Best Airport Food in America”! Beating Chicago, New York, and San Francisco—it’s straight-up legendary! One airport = One Southern food paradise Think airports only have sad sandwiches and overpriced fast food? ATL says otherwise—this is a legit foodie destination! Check out these officially certified “must-eats”: 🍗 Bantam & Biddy: Southern fried chicken bowls + breakfast bowls—pure satisfaction 🥘 Low Country Restaurants: Classic Southern soul food, so good it’ll make you stomp your feet 🍖 Paschal’s: 60-year-old soul food legend—history and flavor in every bite 🍺 Chicken + Beer: Owned by Atlanta rapper Ludacris! Fried chicken + craft beer = the coolest airport spot 🍣 One Flew South: Southern-Japanese fusion! Once named the #1 airport restaurant in the U.S.! 🍷 Ecco: European small plates with top-tier vibes—perfect for long waits or a leisurely meal Bonus! Head to **The Rooftop at the Overland** Watch planes ✈️ land + dine with a view—who else gets the romance of this? Why is ATL’s food scene so good? It’s not just “convenient”! Most airports leave you “no choice”—but ATL leaves you “spoiled for choice”: ✅ Diverse options: Southern fried chicken, Asian cuisine, European wine bars—all covered ✅ Helmed by local celebrity chefs, so quality is guaranteed! ✅ No rush? Sit back and savor—the ambiance is *chef’s kiss* ✅ Prices are reasonable! Compared to other major airports, ATL is a steal—plus, many spots have Happy Hour! How to eat smart? Pro tips here! ➡️ Concourses A, B, C: Hit up **Paschal’s** or **Chicken + Beer** ➡️ Concourses E, F (International): Got time? Go for **One Flew South** or **Ecco** ➡️ Terminal T: Hate lines? **Low Country** is a hidden gem! ➡️ Too lazy to walk? Download the ATL app for real-time updates on hours and wait times! If I could give them a minus 0 (-0) that's what I would have given them. Delayed in ATL.for 3 1/2 hrs. Saw this location and who would pass up good country mac n cheese. Approaching the counter to place my order I saw the dish of Mac n cheese finisjed with a few was dry out mac covered in grease. I politely asked the server if I can please be severed from a fresh batch. She harshly and rudely responded no. I asked if I could wait for tje fresh batch how long I don't mind. She tured to the kitchen area, I heard them laughing and then she said I cannot wait he, meaning the "chef" haven't even prepared it yet. She half heartedly put it in a cup, not even properly filled and I paid a whopping $5 bucks. In less than a min as they thought I left the server came put woth a fresh batch of Mac n cheese. I walked up to the counter and told her how disappointed I was to be treated the way she treated me. It was insulting and quite degrading the way she looked and talked down to me. The cashier even nodded in agreement with me. It wasn't over, not only did she not apologize the so-called chef went to the window and the entire kitchen started laughing. He kept on peeking at me and everyone was laughing. What a humiliating experience for some mac n cheese. I will like to follow up woth the owner of this establishment. Would like to know if he (based off pic on the wall male chef) approves or is even aware how hos staff treats customers. It was belittling to say.the very least. The pic shows the so-called chef and the server. She's an elderly woman who should have conducted herself with more dignity.

On my way back from my business trip, I had time for dinner and decided on celebrity Chef G. Garvin Low Country new Southern Cuisine. He is giving you baby back bbq ribs, fried chicken, salmon filet, and garlic shrimp. Desserts are caramel and bacon caramel bread pudding. Situated on the A concourse food court, the space encounters a steady stream of hungry travellers, and that's an encouraging sign for me. I ordered the fried chicken, bacon grits, no bake mac and cheese, and seasoned green beans. And now for the details. I had to wait about 2 or 3 minutes for the fried chicken. I liked that because it came out piping hot and fresh. It looked crispy and golden. After it cooled enough, I tried the breast then the thigh. The breast was crispy, and juicy, still hot but well seasoned. The thigh, my favorite piece was crispy and yet not greasy. A clean taste and I finished both. The bacon grits were okay. They had bits of bacon and were yellow with cheese throughout. I would have liked a more creamy, textured grits. I felt they weren't the old school grits I am accustomed to. The green beans and mac and cheese were delicious. The mac and cheese was no bake, but full of flavor. My only critique is that I wanted more cheesy sauce. The green beans were well seasoned, not overcooked, and very tasty. The servers greeted me warmly, were very attentive, and overall did a good job. Id like to see some more variety in side dishes, but I certainly recommend Low Country.

“Why Us” Not Karen, but Keisha......

My cousin and her husband were here from NC to celebrate her birthday in ATL. Their request of us was to establish reservations here at G Garvin’s Low Country restaurant in ATL—not the Hartsfield Jackson Airport.

Six (6) of us, three (3) couples met at the restaurant Saturday evening at approximately 7:15 for our reservation. We were seated and the experience began—which we were anticipating to be outstanding, NOT!!!!! We were greeted by our waiter (John) who came off very polished and professional; we got our drinks and proceeded to check out the menu (quite pricey). At any rate, we ordered our food. The husbands all ordered steaks. • Male 1 (Delathan): my cousin’s husband from NC ordered a bone-in Ribeye (MEDIUM) • Male 2 (Thomas): ordered a bone-in Ribeye, (Medium) • Male 3 (David, dat be me): ordered a Filet (initially medium-well, but changed it to Medium) • The ladies at the table had seafood

The plates started coming out about 45 minutes later. Everyone appeared to be very pleased with the appearance of their food, except Male 1. When he cut into his steak (which should have been Medium), it was not medium to him. He called John over and asked, “Does this steak appear to look medium to you?” John replied, “No, actually, it looks more medium to medium-well”. With that, John suggested he would take it back and correct it—so far so good. However, 3 minutes later John comes back and proceeds to explain to Male 1 the steak was cooked medium and attempts to show Male 1 by shining a miniature light on the steak to prove it.

He then ask’s Male 1, “How do you want your steak cooked?” At this point Male 1 becomes very bothered by this approach. Male 1 say’s to waiter, “I want a Medium Steak—as you described to us when we ordered.” Waiter goes away and 3 minutes later the Manager comes over—instead of using the term ‘Karen’, I’ll say it was ‘Keisha’ and she then proceeds to engage Male 1 on what a medium steak is at this restaurant and continues to badger and agitate Male 1 to the point that Male 1 say’s to Keisha—just forget it! However, Keisha continues to badger him by indicating we want to try and make it right. Male 1 was so frustrated that he told her, ‘JUST FORGET IT’.

Now, the other 5 of us are trying to enjoy our $455 meals. As well there is no cussing or loud behavior happening between Keisha and Male 1. But the exchange between those two was not going well.

At the end, Keisha say’s to the table, “you can just leave, I will not be disrespected.” All of us were blown away. Keisha returns with the check and places it down next to Male 1 and say’s good-bye.

To sum this up….this had to be one of the most incompetent and immature manager’s I have ever experienced for a restaurant of this nature. All she had to do was bring Male 1 a new steak asks him to cut the steak and ensure it was to his satisfaction. Instead, she insisted on lecturing and attempting to educate him about steak temperatures (warm pink center, cold pink center, how and where to cut his steak)—totally, demeaning and condescending behavior by her. And then to ask the entire table to leave—UNACCEPTABLE!!!!. And, to spend $455, plus give John a $100 tip—aside from doing what the manager told him to do, he was GREAT. Never...

I know this is long but PLEASE READ! I SOOOOOO wanted to love this place cause I’ve been watching G. Garvin cook for YEARS on TV & am still currently watching him on Aspire. So, when I found out I had a layover in the ATL I thought GREAT, I can finally try Low Country in their airport while I wait! Oh, Lord! Where do I begin😳🙄! First, I want to say the staff was great! However, I wasn’t impressed to stumble upon the fast food section it was in. 🧐🤔I thought it was more upscale & was sitting alone as Long Horn is. Buuuuuut, that was the least of my worries. These folks who gave the “greatest food they ever had…” review musta went in the afternoon or something cause I was there at about 7:50p & had very limited options. They close at 10p & had practically NOTHING. The options were either 3 scampi shrimp (NOT KIDDING), fried or grilled chicken, salmon filet, black-eyed peas, rice, or corn😡🤬. FORREAL G?!?!??! I mean wow! They got 3 more hours to close & you can’t get NO green veggies?!?!?! So, since I walked sooooooooooo far to concourse A, I opted for a salmon filet & rice. Filet was dry as sand but, seasoned well. The rice was blah. Dry & tasted like NOTHING, literally! The worse $18 I’ve EVER spent. Poor little lady who took my order couldn’t even explain why there were no veggies. When I asked she shrugged her shoulders & had such an awkward silence while trying to find the right words to say that I put my hand up to save her from the pain! Come ON G!!! I’m soooooo disappointed. 🥲 SO SO...
