To Shake Shack's benefit I will say that the burgers looked delicious (the ones on the warmer), but after spending 10 min in line and still not being close to being waited on (there was only one person in front of us) we decided that waiting for one of those burgers might not be worth it.
There were three people working but all three were as slow as possible. I've worked fast food before and understand that its hard to keep a hustle all the time, but this was during lunch rush and there was no motivation at all. The laziest crew I've ever seen. It would be more understandable if they were serving a bunch of orders, but only one order went out in that 10 min, and only one other order on their order board. Also, there was a sizable line behind us. Despite this they felt it necessary to slowly restock bagging area and one appeared to be taking an inventory list instead of taking orders. The only one who looked like they were even serving customers was the person on the grille (who was also moving very slow)
There were three burgers on the warmer when we got there and only one was taken off in that entire time, which made me wonder if they were pre-making burgers before they were ordered.
We only had 25 min before boarding our next leg, but after waiting 10 of those watching them make one order did not give me confidence that they would be able to deliver on time. What a shame. This place is in real need of some motivation and better...
Read moreWe were really looking forward to grabbing a quick bite at Shake Shack in Terminal A, but unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected. Despite having a large group of employees behind the counter, only a few seemed to be actively preparing food, while the others were gathered in the back talking. This resulted in a long wait of over 20 minutes for our order, even though the line wasn’t that long.
What really surprised me was the loud and frequent profanity coming from the back area. It was very noticeable, and not something I’d expect in a family-friendly or professional setting—especially in a busy airport terminal. It made the wait even more uncomfortable.
When I finally asked for shake sauce, I was told, “We don’t have any,” and when I followed up by asking if any was on the burger, I was met with a dismissive and rude, “Did you hear what I said?” That level of attitude was completely unnecessary and uncalled for. As I walked away with my wife and child, I couldn’t help but feel judged by the glares and unpleasant looks from some of the staff.
The food was fine once we got it, but the overall atmosphere and service made this a very disappointing visit. Definitely not what we expected from a brand like...
Read moreWow, what a disaster! I made the most of visiting the location in Terminal A in Hartsfield Airport today the service could not be worse. The line was very long but we finally got to the front and ordered at about 5:30. The cashier was actually pleasant and took our order. However, getting the food took way too long and the employee who was putting bags together was a study in insolence and indifference. Could not be bothered. I inquired a couple of times about our order and she said she could not control when orders got ‘shuffled.’ This despite the fact that she was printing out the tags and attaching them to bags. She served a number of people that ordered substantially after us first. When we finally got called I observed that our bag had been on the counter fir a while, and it had because I watched them get out together. She basically shrugged as if it did not concern her at all. Needless to say the burgers were dry and not as hot as they should have been. Personally, I also prefer that the fries be salted as well but evidently that task was too challenging. Thoroughly Poe performance and you have convinced me that as a customer I...
