The preparation and food itself was good, but the main problem I faced was with the acceptance of my paper coupon. I had a 3 footlongs for $17.99 coupon which I showed before I ordered and which was examined and approved before I ordered by what I can only assume is one of the owners. Once all 3 footlongs were made, I presented the coupon again, which was scanned and apparently was not accepted any more. The expiration date was 7/11/24 and we dined 7/6/24, so there seems to be some issue with the coupon system. The person assisting us showed a total of about $38 then dropped it down to $26 after he applied his own discount because he could see that it was not accepting it for some reason but wanted to somewhat honor the coupon.
My issue here is that, assuming he is an owner, why could he not simply modify the charge amount to match the coupon. He had seen it before we ordered and agreed it looked valid.
We also did not get a receipt.
The food was great and the service was excellent and upbeat, but the main reason we went today was because of the coupon and having it not be honored was a big damper on the experience.
If this genuinely was a technology issue, and the person assisting us did his best, then I would give them 5 stars. In this case, they should make sure the appropriate parties are informed to fix the issue ASAP and inform the customer before the order is placed if they knew the coupon system was having issues.
However, my worst case fear is that this is an effort to squeeze more profit out of the customer while pretending to honor the coupon. This would be a short term strategy that will fail to bring back repeat customers.

We walked in and the man was instantly rude saying that they’re closed ( as they are still making sandwiches & customers are sitting inside , no sign on the door btw ) , he said they ran out of meats so they are only taking online orders .. okay cool so we just online ordered ( didn’t say they were out of anything else btw ) , so we online order and once it’s ready we go pick it up , the guy that talked to us at first then proceeded to say “ I don’t know why you ordered a pretzel we don’t have any I don’t know how you’re going to get your money back “ and I’m just like ??? Why are you so damn rude ? Then tells my friend “ why did you order a cookie ? I told you we didn’t have any “ when literally when we first walked in he only stated that they were low on MEATS ONLY !
this use to be my favorite spot but after tonight I don’t think I’ll enjoy going to this one again even after they beg their customers to write a 5 star review for a free cookie this is how y'all act ?...
Read moreI come here once every couple of weeks and the food is good, service is alright. However, I went early this afternoon and was extremely disappointed. As I asked for tomatoes, they had only put two -- not covering half of the sub. I asked if they could put one more on and the worker rolled her eyes. I understand she may have been tired but every time I asked for a topping she would roll her eyes and throw them onto the sub or smush them into the sub. When asking for a churro they heated it up and I waited a couple minutes as they left it out, then the worker proceeded to toss it onto the counter.
I believe they could tell I felt upset as the worker told me that if I gave her a 5 star google review she would give me a free cookie. I appreciate the effort but it felt more like a bribe. I respect all workers, especially those in customer service/food-related industry. It was just upsetting that the environment was so hostile as soon as I had walked in. I don't know what she's going through but she made me sad, I hope she has a...
