We visited once again for my husband’s birthday, and were seated quickly. The three wait staff we had were excellent overall (Omar, a young woman and a man whose names I wish I could remember, sorry!): quick to top up water, and realised after a while that there was so much ice in our drinks we couldn’t sip without being hit in the face with ice. Omar did a great job ensuring the dessert was prepared as per my husband’s preference, which we really appreciated. I found some of the meat servers too pushy, already cutting meat and at one point putting it the my plate before asking if you wanted it, despite us saying no to specific meats each time. It was a little annoying, and not something I’ve noticed before.
We had the lamb and filet mignon. The lamb ribs were, unfortunately, consistently overcooked despite requesting them as rare as possible. This was an issue across three services of the ribs, all with that request, and each was more well done than the last. The lamb sirloin was tough. The filet mignon was excellent, after the first serving which was overcooked - it melted in the mouth like butter, as it should be and was very tasty. Worth going just for this.
We were enjoying a quiet lunch until two quite loud women were sat next to us, despite other tables further away being open, and I think it would have been prudent to seat them in a noisier part of the dining area. It ruined the environment, and we couldn’t talk as they were so loud we couldn’t hear each other due to their volume and the extreme proximity of their table. Their conversation was quite obnoxious, and it really did harm the ambience overall - a raised eyebrow and smile from by another diner when they left suggested we were not the only people disrupted by them and pleased when they left. Part of managing a dining experience is intelligent profiling and placement of guests, and it was disappointing this happened on this occasion. We left soon after this, as it really killed our conversation.
I would love to have a Hannukah (or Shabbos) meal here in December/early January, I do wonder if doing a kosher night would work - especially as it would mean the food is halal too eg Kosher de Brazil in...
Read moreNice facility. Beautiful outdoor seating. If you order off the menu, as opposed to the "Brazilian experience" expect to get something other than your order and expect it to be slow coming. After delivering the wrong steak, the waiter & manager, assured me "7 minutes. Tops!" It took another 30 minutes. 1 hour from initial order to delivery. We had just decided to leave. Not as much for the delay, but because the atmosphere changed. Kids running around, kids with bouncing balls, and one little kid who kept coming up to the table and coughing at people. He would look at you and cough at you. Parents, if you take your kids to a nice place, don't let them act like animals. For the price of my meal at this class of restaurant, I expect nice dining and food delivered within a reasonable time -- especially, when you tell me to expect it in less than 10 minutes. And, they were not that busy for a Saturday evening. Most of the crowd was gone by the time we ate. Food was OK. I got a doggy bag.
Edit: 10/4/22 In response to management's comments. I was confused on the cuts of meat listed on the menu. Did the waitress tell you I asked about the differences in your sirloins, i.e. top vs bottom? While she did not provide specifics, she did say most people ordered the bottom cut. Hence, I ordered the bottom cut. When the first steak was delivered, my wife noticed it was not what I ordered. Since you have video documentation, just how long was the period from the initial order to delivery of both steaks? Why would one of the manager's claim 7 minutes if it was going to take longer?
A restaurant can be family oriented and still not have children disturbing other guests. Somehow, I do not think a McDonald's type of playground will fit with the atmosphere you are...
Read moreBasically, this was a very disappointing experience. We arrived at about 7:30 and we're confused about who would seat us. We stood around in the lobby for about 5 minutes, while the hostess completed their phone call. It doesn't take much to look up from a phone and at least provide the "one moment" finger, at the least. I'm not sure why the hostess is taking calls. Chili's doesn't even do this. The waiter broke the cork on our bottle of wine and went on to spill it all around the table and on our glasses. They didn't offer a new bottle, but just a decanter. Otherwise, this waiter was kind and very attentive. They left work mid-dinner, however. Several times, we waited several minutes for meat, sometimes 5+ minutes. Even our cards were green while our plates had meat. But, we didn't really think we were waiting until we finished our meat. I had to ask several times if meat would be coming out. One of the waiters asked if we're interested in tequila for Cinco de Mayo. After the second time, we said sure. Then he came with a couple bottles to talk about the tequila and ask questions, when I had a mouth full of food. After I asked he give us a second, he awkwardly stood there. After a moment, I asked a second time for a moment. He arrogantly said he'll move the two bottles he brought so I don't knock them off the table. I noticed servers around watching us. They seemed to be waiting for us to leave, although we were one of five or so parties still in the restaurant. Maybe the other parties were being stared too, but they were in various other parts of the restaurant, and I didn't care to really pay much attention to that. Overall, we felt very unwelcome and that we did not receive the experience we came in for. It was very...
