For the most part, this particular Whataburger is "fine" and is not much different than all the rest. However, their drive-through line is incredibly slow, so I would recommend skipping that and going inside or going somewhere else. Having said that, the reason for my review today is the interaction I had with them this morning on 7/17/2024 (in the drive through). When I ordered two taquitos, I was asked if I would like to try their "free" iced coffee. My instant reaction was that I doubted it was actually free. I noticed a sign that said something about "free" coffee, but I declined and said "no thank you." The person taking my order told me my total was somewhere around $8.00 and I pulled forward. When I got to the window, my order total had changed to a little over $12.00. I paid, and was given two taquitos. When I checked the receipt, I noticed that I was charged for the taquitos as well as an "Iced Coffee" (in the amount of $3.39). I thought to myself: (1) I declined the Iced Coffee; (2) even if I didn't decline it, I thought it was "free;" and (3) now that I have paid for it, can I at least have the coffee? I asked the person at the window if I could at least have the coffee since I had paid for it, and I was told "no." They then told me that "the ticket I was showing them was not my ticket but the previous ticket"(?). Anyway, after some further discussion, I was finally given my "free" Iced Coffee. Read moreUsually the service here is okay. They occasionally forget sauces because if it isn't spicy ketchup they don't remember to put it in the bag. I go today and The girl standing outside taking orders is 30ft from the menu and doesn't have one to show me. Im like okay sure, I guess I'll take a #5 I can't read from here, whatever. She didn't seem like she cared either way.
I say no mustard, she says "dry?". I'm like sure, but by no mustard I mean whatever it comes with just no mustard, that's all I want.
Welp I got a burger smothered in mustard. I go in and I'm told "you said dry"
Okay this isn't dry it has mustard on it. She goes in the back and is complaining to coworkers then another female gives me my food. She says "#5 dry" , I said let me check because I don't want mustard again. She says well okay have a good day and proceeded to walk away and im thinking like damn sorry I had y'all correct this stuff but I didn't mess up lol.
At this point I'm just not coming back. Please train these...

Today, I waited for over 20 mins for my food, before you say the order was 'too big', it was a plain Whataburger and a medium french fry. The food was the same quality, but the wait time was excessive. About one month ago, I went inside early in the morning (around 5 am) when there was no other customers in the store and was IGNORED by the people working in the register areas, including a manager, for nearly 10 minutes. One person working in the grill area saw me and said something to the others, but they still did nothing. I left shortly after. To whomever owns this store, whether a franchisee owner or corporate, purge the management staff and any other problematic employees with those that will work.
