GEORGI'S PIZZERIA — Restaurant in Collegedale

When I arrived to pickup my to-go order, I was greeted by the friendly hostess and Angie, who I placed my order with over the phone. Angie had superb service as I watched her greet the other guests and help take a pizza outside for a disabled man.

The restaurant was very clean and tidy, and had a great ambiance even though I got my order to-go.

I had to wait a little extra longer than I was told, but that wasn’t a problem for me.

Where I think there is a large opportunity for improvement is the actual pizza itself. After tip, my large pie with 3 toppings was $35. With that said, I would expect a $35 pizza to have plenty of toppings and exceptional taste.

Instead, the pizza matched what you would get from Dominoes or Marcos.

While I believe this is a family owned and run business, I would love to help support because I believe in small businesses.

But the pizza was way overpriced, especially when the ingredients probably only cost $5-$9. For a $35 pizza, I would rather give my business to Community Pie, Pizza Bro’s or Mellow Mushroom.

I don’t mean anything ill towards this business, but hopefully my review can be received as constructive feedback...

The pizza here is really good! Both sauce and dough are made from scratch. The sauce is fantastic! I love that it’s not overly sweet like some pizza sauces tend to be. The larger pizzas can get quite pricey, but their 10in personal pizzas are a really good single size meal.

Facility: the place is well kept and clean with an open bright space for dining. Appropriate for families and larger groups. Service: our server, Erica, was help, friendly and attentive. She really made us feel welcome. The food came out in good time. Good: I got a cheese pizza with tasty veggie toppings and dough balls. It was so good I was half through before I realized I hadn’t photographed it yet. 😅 The sauce is probably my favorite of any I’ve had in the area. The dough has a thinner slightly close texture. I usually prefer a puffier crust, but for this style it was excellent. The flavor of it actually made you want to eat the whole piece. Ambient setting w fancy music playing. The owners were nice and checked on me and said hello, which I found to be sweet. Ordered a garden bowl with peppers, onions, basil, olives, and pineapple. It was very fresh and delicious. Great for trying to avoid carbs that have bread involved. They forgot the pineapple and told me they accidentally gave me extra peppers after saying it was probably in the dish somewhere. I thought that was kind of inconsiderate that I was never offered the ingredient I ordered originally. The also brought me the wrong flavored drink which wasn’t what I ordered to begin with. People are only human though, and they were very nice when I mentioned that. Employees had good intent. The sodas come in bottles instead of fountain drinks. The bathrooms have moss on the mirrors and cool selfie signs. Great location for charging your electric car cause it’s close to the fast chargers at Walmart.
