Salsarita's Fresh Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Collegedale

My friend and I loved eating at the Hamilton Place and Northgate Salsarita's so we were very excited when a new location opened in Ooltewah, because it's much closer to our home in Cleveland. The first time we tried this location, they were out of many things and were unresponsive (literally. the girl just stared at us when we asked questions and did not speak) when we tried to make requests. The food was also less than appealing, cold and bland. We decided to give it another shot a few weeks later, but were disappointed yet again. They were out of many toppings this time as well. The manager, who was present for both of our visits, seemed disorganized and incredibly unhelpful to both us and the employees. I agree with the other reviewers who have said this place has a serious management problem. They could really use someone from one of the other Salsarita's Chattanooga locations to come in and train this manager and staff on how to run a restaurant. I also once got a to-go order from this location on my way home and of course, I was disappointed. I've tried to not write this location off but I think I've given them plenty of chances. I have ordered Salsarita’s several times via online. Every time I get there, I call and they bring it out. Today, I ordered online and when I arrived, was told I had to come in to get my order because they don’t bring it out when ordering on Google. I asked her when that changed because that’s the way I always do it and they bring it out. Needless to say, she was apathetic and dismissive. So, I went in and spoke with the manager, who was better with customer service skills. During this time, the rude worker walks right through the middle of the manager and I while we were talking and rudely stated, “here’s your Google order” and placed the food on the rack when she could’ve handed it to me. The manager’s expression showed that she knew it was rude also. I will be contacting corporate and no longer ordering from this location. I’m wondering if I should even eat the food.

Update: I spoke with the area manager and general manager. They were attentive, solution oriented, and handled this situation like leaders should. I really appreciate them using this as a learning moment for their employees. updating my rating from 1...

This is a brand new restaurant in one of those brand new developments right off the expressway trying to grab your money because there is too much traffic, you're hungry, trying to get somewhere, been stuck in Chattanooga traffic for 45 minutes because some knucklehead rear-ended someone because they were following too closeand your drive-thru Chattanooga takes an hour and a half instead of 20 minutes.

The food here was just okay, the restaurant was clean because it's newly-opened, there's no real flavors here that you can't find in any other restaurant, so it's just not anything special. They don't have a salsa bar, you will get nickel-and-dimed, and honestly I ate my moderately sized burrito by scooping the inside out because the tortilla was too chewy, and then I went to Chick-fil-A and got a sandwich.
