Firebirds Wood Fired Grill — Restaurant in Collierville

I don’t leave reviews often, but my recent visit left me so frustrated that I felt it needed to be shared.

To start, I arrived hoping for a quick and enjoyable solo meal. The host seated me promptly, and my server took my order quickly—so I had a little hope. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives stopped.

There was a dead fly on the table, which I pointed out. I was moved to another seat, but the new table ended up being surrounded by live flies, which made dining uncomfortable and unsanitary.

I ordered a lemon drop, which came out tasting like sugar water with zero flavor or balance. When I mentioned it, the remake was a completely different drink—with pineapple and heavy alcohol—that I didn’t ask for. It felt like someone was guessing what I might want instead of just remaking what I ordered.

The burger I ordered tasted like a frozen patty from the grocery store, topped with the same shredded cheese I specifically asked to be swapped out. It was so unappetizing I couldn’t eat it. I was offered a replacement, which I appreciated, but the new item wasn’t even on the menu, and I wasn’t told exactly what I’d be getting. I k knew it would be sliders but I was unaware they would only come with onions, cheese and mustard—nothing I would have picked.

To top it all off, I left my sunglasses behind and when I returned less than 10 minutes later, I was told they hadn’t seen them—even though I had just left. No accountability or effort to help.

The manager did comp some of the meal, which I appreciate, but overall, the visit was frustrating, disjointed, and disappointing. Nothing about the experience felt welcoming or worth returning for. Cleanliness, consistency, and customer service need serious...

This restaturant has drastically changed! I've been dining at Firebirds since this location in Collierville opened, we've had several family dining outing at Firebirds and my daughter and I would visit often during the week when she was in preschool and elementary school for dinner. However, upon my entrance last night I could immediatley tell that this dining experience would be different; just based on the unprofessionalism of the check in process. Once we were seating our server came to the table (per the manager her name was Jasmine); she didn't clearly introduce herself and her attitude seem unbothered, she was not at all pleasant and professional. I was there to celebrate my Goddaughter's birthday; honestly, Firebirds wasn''t her choice. She took our drink orders; however, she failed to return to our table for refills afterwards or during our meals; she also didn't provide additional bread for our table to 10 people and she apparently entered three of our orders incorreclty, i personally requested my salmon cooked meduim well; it was overdone and dry, my salad also wasn't fresh. I sent the salmon back; however, not the salad ... who messes up a salad?? I felt like i was dining at Applebee's or Chili's not at an supposely upscale restaurant!! Please educate your staff on their lack of professionalism with regard to food service; their attire and most importantly their attitudes when approaching a table to customers who they expect to recieve a gernrous tip from!!! I have dined at Firebirds's Restaurant for the past 10+ years and had a good experience for most of the time.
