I drove 45 minutes to this Red Robin on Monday, November 28, because I originally drove 40 minutes to the Red Robin in Cordova only to get there and find out they had gone out of business. I wonder why? Well, let me tell you about my experience on why they went out of business and this Red Robin location may soon be following. The waitress (Beyonce) is very nice, polite, patient, and good at being a waitress. She just needs to remember to check on the guests and offer refills. The cooks are the ones holding her back. I went to Red Robin because I wanted to use my rewards before they expired. My reward was not applied appropriately and the manager refused to come out and speak with me about it. The food took way too long to come out and the food was not good for what they are charging. The chicken tender children meal was good but definitely not worth $7. They charge almost $15 for the master cheeseburger and fries. The burger tasted ok but definitely not $15 good. It was not prepared well done like I requested. The fries were hard and not good. They were hot but they weren't that good. I don't know if the grease was old or what. I ordered broccoli with the children's clucks, and they brought out hard broccoli as if they took it out of the bag and put a drop of water on it and served it to me. The broccoli was so hard and tasted undone. But it is supposed to be steamed broccoli. It had No flavor or nothing. Absolutely horrible. I can go to Wimpy's burger and get a MUCH better burger for $6 less. And their burgers are worth every cent although they are extremely expensive too. Back to Red Robbin. The mozzarella sticks were so good. But the Donut stack (8 donuts) that costs $10 was not good at all. It seemed as though they got some old donuts put them back in the grease and served them to me and my son. They remade it a second time and they still were not what I experienced at the red robin in Cordova. Red Robin really needs to come down off these prices and we (people) need to stop paying these ridiculous prices for food that does not meet the expectation of being that expensive. Their prices are outrageous and their cook needs to be retrained. It took forever to get our food, our check, and to pay so we could leave. People that came in after us got their food and were gone before us. People that walked in 2 minutes before we got there got their food and were gone before us. Unacceptable!! Red Robin, lower the prices and hire a better cook or this location will soon be out of...
Read moreUpdate - May 3, 2025: Because of my poor review from a month ago, I was given a limited loyalty reward I could use for another month. Last night we decided to give RR another chance. We showed up around 7:15 and, just like last time, the lobby was full of people reading menus and apparently waiting for a table, but the restaurant looked as if it was getting ready to close - tons of open tables. I asked if we could sit at one of the many tables and was told it would be at least a 30 minute wait. I asked about the empty bar and if we could sit there, and was also told we would have to wait for that seating. I have attached pictures this time to show how many open tables were available. I have no idea why you would make people stand in the lobby for a half an hour staring at all the empty tables in the restaurant. Just seat people! We left and had food elsewhere. Please see the attached pics from last night.
March 21, 2025: We arrived at this location around 8:00p to get a quick burger and watch some March Madness. As the three of us walked in we noticed some people sitting in the lobby area and assumed they were waiting for to-go orders as the restaurant seemed unoccupied. There was no host/hostess to greet us so we went to the bar area hoping to just take a seat at the completely empty bar area or one of the many empty tables. As we entered the bar a person came out of the kitchen area and we asked if the bar was open seating. He said "Yes" but there were two other groups ahead of us and it would be at least 15 minutes before we could be seated. The restaurant was barely occupied and the bar was nearly empty, it almost looked like closing time. We realized something was really wrong and we would probably be disappointed. All we wanted was a little something to eat and to watch some basketball, instead we left and found...
Read moreWent in this past Saturday with my family and had a horrible experience. First, no menus were provided and we were told to use the kiosk on the table, which didn’t work. I had to go ask someone else for some menus since I think it is ridiculous for a restaurant to ask it’s customers to use their phone to view the menu. Then, the waiter was very slow in getting us drinks and taking orders. The food was slow to come out and when it did, there were several things wrong and two entrees had to be sent back and the remade entrees took forever to come back out. The waiter was nowhere to be found most of the time we were there so when we were ready to leave, we tried to use the kiosk on the table. As it turns out, the kiosk on our table was for the table beside us. We had several different people paying at our table so one person paid for what they thought was their meal but it was actually for the table beside us so he had to pay twice and wait to be refunded later the next week. When we finally got the waiter to bring us the right kiosk with the correct charges, he hovered over me as I was trying to pay and put the tip in. I felt very awkward with him standing behind me while I was trying to tip. Another member of our party paid with a gift card that he thought had $25 on it and the waiter said it only has $20 and THREW IT IN THE TRASH when he was done. We asked for the card back so we could check with the purchase receipt when we got home and it wasn’t until we asked for a manager and he came over that the card magically reappeared. The manager was a little condescending and didn’t really do much to resolve the situation. Overall this last experience with Red Robin in Collierville was a pretty poor one and it will be some time if ever...
