Verona Coffee Company — Restaurant in Collinsville

I'm just excited they have toasted marshmallow syrup for my latte! Coffee is good with it too! My favorite coffee place with that syrup is closed and it's challenging to find out in the wild. Iced or hot latte with chocolate and toasted marshmallow... you're welcome. Also works with Carmel instead, or in addition to chocolate. But, this was my first visit to Verona Coffee Company. I was in Collinsville and wanted some caffeine abs a bite to eat. So far the atmosphere is cozy and eclectic with multiple seating options including comfy chairs around a tables, a counter-height bar with seating, and other misc tables and chairs. All very mix and match style, and it works down in the downtown area, and creates different vibes throughout the place to sit. On this visit I also tried the vegan energy bites. These had less coconut than the regular ones, so I opted for them. They're really good actually though. Maple syrup gives a nice sweetness, and they're soft and nice texture. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to eat 3 of them honestly! For like $2.50, 3 is not a bad deal for a snack! I'll be back to try the food menu and more coffee and tea options. They've got a lot of both! So...

I wanted to wait until I was able to visit a second time to post a review, my opinion has changed nonetheless. Upon arriving each time I have been greeted by a friendly face and a warm greeting. If you have questions, they will be answered politely with a smile! My first visit I had a drink that was a special at the time, this visit was a low-carb latte. Both were served quickly and super tasty. I have had many lattes and sometimes you don’t know what to expect from the flavor of the coffee, or if your ratios are going to be right. This one was perfect. It’s nice to chill out and relax, while slowly waking up with the delicious espresso aroma. It didn’t taste like it had been sitting in a warmer all day, burning. I have been to Verona several times now with friends and I have never had a bad experience. It's a small-ish space but we usually don't have trouble finding a spot to sit together. A couple of times they have been a little slow but it's at times and days you would expect a small coffee shop to be very busy. I haven't gotten the food other than a scone (which was good!) but my friend always orders the biscuits and gravy and she seems to enjoy it. Food isn't a huge variety but it doesn't need to be, the coffee is the best part.

Their coffee flights are great and my friends and I love splitting them to try new things. My personal favorite coffee here is The Montague under their specialty drinks, I usually get it as decaf and it's great...
