I'm kind of surprised that this place has managed to stay open as long as it has, but the Citadel has miraculously managed it, so why not the crossings? There is quite a variety of different stores and restaurants here. I like Tomo Sushi, not the best sushi, but good for people who aren't sushi snobs. Black Eyed Pea is pretty good with their home style cooking (the chicken tenderloins or chicken fried steak are good, especially with the mashed potatoes and country gravy). Black Bear Diner is a great breakfast place with a variety of food choices. They serve more than breakfast, but I think that's their best meal they offer. Chipotle is good, but the location is not very large, so there isn't a ton of seating options if they are busy. Also, the parking here sucks. In reality, the parking throughout the whole shopping center could be better. Olive Garden is always good, although they are usually pretty busy, but what's not to like about bottomless soup and/or salad? The new Chick-fil-A is a nice addition to the area. As far as stores, there's the Lowe's, which is good - I feel like this location is not nearly as busy as other Lowe's locations throughout the city. Entertainmart has always been a pretty cool store to get new or used electronics, books, and a variety of other things. You can definitely waste a couple of hours in there just exploring. There's the Plato's Closet, which is good for gently used clothing shoes, and accessories, but is aimed more at teenagers rather than kids or adults. There's a Petsmart, which is your typical pet store, I feel like. It's not great, but it's not completely horrible... there's the Picture Show movie theater, which is a discounted theater as it shows the movies a couple to a few weeks after they were initially released. The tickets may be discounted, but the concessions will still cost you an arm and a leg, just like a regular theater. There's a Dollar Tree, which is usually fairly busy, busier than a lot of other locations I have been to, at least. There are some other stores and/or restaurants that I am sure I am forgetting, but...
Read moreIt's weird and not so driver friendly parking lot - It almost feels like your Mario in Mario Kart and you're constant trying to avoid crashes and pitfalls, objects falling from the sky! LoL, ok maybe I'm exaggerating just a little... Seriously though lots of twisting and turning you really have to pay attention for other drivers and especially pedestrians - Almost every time I drive, at some point I'm a pedestrian too. Every time I get out of my car and walk to the door and into a business, I am a pedestrian - And in that short amount of time, 30-60 seconds it's been my personal experience that it is quite easy to get 'accidently' run over, it doesn't take much! When I'm driving I try to put myself in the pedestrians shoes and vice versa. You know, the whole Do unto others thing, karma, what goes around.... You know the rest 😉 All I'm saying is be aware, pay attention (especially for people who may need a little more travel time, like someone in a wheelchair, or with a cane, etc.) Always be RESPECTFUL, and do the next right thing (especially in parking lots cuz their dangerous!)! So I give this shopping strip a 3 for the parking lot as well as for the many non-exciting stores and shops they have and the few decent ones I patron 😉 So what is that, 3 and a...
Read morePlease take into consideration that nothing negative was experienced while at "Outback Steakhouse" as everything and everywhere was clean and orderly, staff was on point and I would have given 5 stars for everything had I not experienced something out of the " Twilight Zone"
Felt like I was in a liminal area, seemd like people, cars and more were missing. Only sounds were from vehicles traveling nearby Upon entering the nearly deserted restaurant I was greeted by several enthusiastic staff members. Despite it being two in the afternoon the welcoming staff caused me to feel like I was the only person they had seen in days. I must say the food was great. Another strange experience, my food arrived at the perfect temperature and never seemed to "cool off" rather it was still emitting steam after 10 minutes as it unusually retained its temperature longer than normal. The ice within my tea melted and stratified within 5 minutes of arrival and no, the glass wasn't hot nor was the tea because I'd tasted it to confirm it was infact sweet and iced.
I was not under the influence of any substance or alcohol etc. My friend Felix also felt it was a strange experience.
By all means, go to this restaurant. It's totally fine...
