I came here with the intent to grab a quick coffee while heading out of town and I was having work done at the Jiffy Lube down the street. They actually suggested I go here when I said where can I get coffee, and right next door was a starbucks but I wanted to go with what was recommended. First I'll say I am really not that familiar w this establishment because i dont go to one of these locally where I've lived so when i ordered I asked for a large regular coffee and a bagel. The girl at the checkout was nice, and she gave me a cup and also handed me my bagel. She told me I could get my coffee from the containers in the middle of the island and so I walked away from the register to find the coffee, I looked around and realized there were actually only 2 options and they were a set menu (which I had no idea). Unfortunately all I had to choose from were two flavored coffees which I don't like especially because no offense they seem to be made with chemical manufactured flavor additives and its just personal preference. When I ordered I really thought I was ordering a regular cup of coffee, so by this time I scoured the counter looking for coffee and then i politely asked the girl behind the counter who noticed me and was making drinks if she had regular coffee brewing back there, and the answer was no, and that there was no plan to make any regular coffee and that it was only the two flavored options. I explained to her that I didn't like flavored coffee and when I ordered I thought I was ordering a regular cup and thats what I thought they had available. So when she told me they weren't making regular coffee, I then came up with a solution and I kindly asked if she could instead make me an americano as a solution. It's the closest thing she could make to a regular coffee, its just espresso and hot water. She said she would do this and that she could make it after a few other drink orders and I thanked her and said yes please I would appreciate that. She was nice but made me feel a little awkward about it, for suggesting this as a solution in the first place. I probably threw her for a loop and I'm sorry about that but still. When she was finished she asked do you want water to fill it up and i said yes and she attempted to move around the counter and acted like i was blocking her while she did and I didn't understand what she was doing at all, She then went around and used a hot water container near the flavored coffees (as if i should have known that i could do it myself and it was there). I felt a very subtle discomfort like I was somehow doing something wrong and I am sorry to that girl if I was being awkward but really you work in service with people you should treat them with a little more kindness and understanding and just be nicer is all that I would say. There was no smile or sorry or anything. I worked in the service industry for ten years as a waiter I know its not easy but when a customer gets the short end of the stick or not what they are expecting and are nice about it, then you should just do your best to make it okay, and not make them feel bad for it. I had no complaints or any negativity here only positive energy and a smile with how I approached it. I appreciate that you did this for me even if it was an odd...
Read moreI have been regularly visiting this location since I moved here in 2019. For the last two or three years, I have always gotten the brunch box special today. I went in and attempted to order that again and when I was told that it doesn’t exist I showed it to them on their app, and at the same location. The manager seemed frustrated (it was busy at the time) so she told the cashier just to let him have it for free and told me to move along. I explained that I wanted to actually place the order whether they did or didn’t give it to me for free. The brunch box comes with a sandwich and you can choose your bagel, a muffin of your choice, and a hash brown. The manager was adamant that that does not exist, even though I showed her multiple times on their own application. I didn’t want free food, I just wanted my order to be taken. Can’t even leave a response directly to them because I didn’t get a receipt. Einstein, corporate if you actually look at these, please ensure your staff and managers are informed on your products. As a business owner myself, I would fail miserably if my staff weren’t familiar with what products we offer.
UPDATE * - Hashbrown wasn’t even cooked thoroughly. Inside of the hasbrown still ice cold / frozen. Time to find a new...
Read moreIt was a weird experience. That’s the only word I can think of for it. We waiting a LONG time in line. I have never been to an Einstein’s bros, so I had a lot of questions. The person taking my order who was also apparently the manager was not interested in answering questions. I just went with something simple bacon egg and cheese. I said what bagel options are available. She responded with well I don’t know pick one and if it’s not sold to all the other people waiting for food you can have it. Ok so I guess I’ll take what you have available. We pay and go to the sea of waiting customers. No coffee ready no problem 3 people from the back come out to make coffee probably running from the mess of orders in the back. I wasn’t expecting 45 min for 2 sandwiches and 1 coffee. I get being busy, but there was no leadership to get things moving. That same manager came out with the 3 man coffee crew to do a little “dance” while we waited. It was bizarre it was everything in me not to say dance to the back and get these orders out. We finally get our food and of course the food isn’t made right, but we had to leave. There is no way I would waste my time or money...
