Somehow, someway when my wife and son visited this store my wifes wallet mysteriously left her shopping cart. She didn't notice until she was ready to check out. When she informed the employees of the situation a manager came out with zero interest in her or her wallet. She was very rude and offered no help. The manager said there was only 2 cameras in the store and that because of the sun she couldnt even see the shapes of anyone in the store. After talking about it with her and my son they remembered no other customers in the store at the time. I went in to look for the wallet and over heard the manager apologize to another customer about what was happening with us. As if it were an inconvenience to her store and the other customers that my wife was just stolen from. I asked why an apologie was necessary and she all she wanted to do was aruge. We then called the police since the employees wanted nothing to do with helping us and everything to do with us leaving the store. We waited in the parking lot for 25mins waiting for the police. The entire time we were being watched by the manager and her employees. Not offering help but just watching. Then a girl and the manager comes out of the store with my wifes wallet. Saying this girl found it on a shelf. We never saw this girl enter the store. We sat in front facing the entrance for 25mins and never saw this girl go in. Im not making accusations but it sure looks like the employees knew exactly what happened to her wallet. My wife never takes her wallet and sets it anywhere. I dont know if thats the case or not but the manager the employees and the mystery girl and the way they treated the situation really made those people look guilty as hell. We have spent $1k's at this place but will never step foot in this place again. Ill bet $100 if i stole something from that place those cameras would all of a sudden work and that mystery girl would've tried arresting me. Reason i say that? Because we think she was loss prevention helping her theiving...
Read moreGreat place for unique gifts, exotic teas, and different coffee roasts, including whole bean.
Candy from Japan, Germany, Australia, Denmark, from all around the world, incl. licorice and Allsorts from the UK. There's a wide selection of imported foreign sodas, canned teas and coffee, "old-fashioned" soda made with real sugar in glass bottles, and many sparkling waters and seltzers you may remember from years ago. I couldn't believe I found several flavors of New York Seltzer and at a very good price, too.
There is a huge selection on both coffee and teas. Varity of ways to steep, which includes some very nice ceramic teapots. MANY foreign foods, spices, and best cooking oils, like pure unadulterated California Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Shelves of cookies, wafers, chips, noodles, snacks, including foreign KitKat with unusual flavors.
Bottled syrup is found here, in many flavors(!) both regular and sugar-free options. They also sell the pump attachment if that hazelnut syrup needs to be within reach next to your coffee in the morning.
There"s nice selection of kitchen gadgets and foreign embossed mason jars, glass bottles, jars with airtight seal, and both glass and ceramic food storage, jugs and vases. They have Asian food bowls, well-made chopsticks, coasters, and coffee mugs. You can buy lamps here, picture frames, things to hang on your wall, (mostly contemporary in my experience,) furniture and pillows, home decor, books, silk flowers, and Christmas ornaments during the holiday season.
The furniture and pillows are a bit pricey. However, this store is always well put together and VERY neat, no matter when you visit.
I've been shopping here for 10 years. There is ALWAYS an associate at the checkout register, and they hire the nicest people!
Authentic European tapered candles, soap, Canadian Maple syrup, wreaths, seasonal decor, furniture, mirrors, French press, coffee - both ground and whole bean, - inspiration and gift...
Read moreHighly disappointed in the associates, which is unfortunate because I've been shopping at World Market for years. Every duty station I've been to, I've made many trips to the local store. I moved to new house that came with no light fixture in the living room. I really needed lighting and of course I headed to World Market for their unique selection. I spent 20 minutes talking with a sales associate about the pendant and swag lights. He told me that everything is need would be included except for the bulbs. So I purchased the chic pendant light I fell in love with. I got home and the box contained nothing but a shell. Basically, a lamp shade. I'm not mad that I paid $100 for the shade, but that the associate wasted my time by not knowing the product. I understand that they won't know everything about everything, but he could definitely asked another team member to make sure. Calling the store was no help either. World Market is great, this location, not so much. Plus, they...
