Update: the managing owner of Texas Roadhouse called me and chatted for a little while, getting specifics and apologizing for the experience. He also sent a gift card that we can use on our next visit. I feel that this is exactly the kind of response that you want to see from respectable company, so I and modifying my rating to reflect the excellent customer service received (original testing 3 of 5, new rating 4 of 5).
It's very hard, for me, to give Texas Roadhouse anything but a 5-star review because it's in my top 5 places to eat - possibly my favorite. But, on this particular visit, things didn't go as well as usual.
On this occasion, we were seated reasonably quickly and the table was nice and clean - no issues. Our server did a decent job, although she was slow in refilling drinks - we had to flag her down to get refills. The buns and cinnamon butter were exceptional, as always.
We received our food in a normal amount of time and my Ribeye was very well cooked and everything fine (pretty fatty, but that's ok - tasted great). My wife's Filet, unfortunately, was cooked completely wrong (warm, red center, when she ordered Well Done...although she prefers Medium, she has to do Well Done right now). We showed our server, who agreed that it wasn't Well Done and said she would get it corrected and back in a bit. During the next 20 minutes, we asked her to check on it and she did and we also mentioned it to the manager when he came by, and he checked on it...but we ended up receiving it after I had eaten all if my steak and sides - around 1/2hr later. It was the same steak (with the same bite taken out of it), and by this time, it was pretty dry and flavorless, but it was now Well Done. They also forgot to bring her side of steak fries, so we received those another 5+ minutes later, after mentioning that to the manager and server, as well.
So, all in all, not a great experience, this time. Nothing comp'd, no offer of anything free, etc...just a couple of light "Sorry for the wait" comments; which is all right, but disappointing. We'll definitely be back, but maybe with a little less...
Read moreIt was my significant others birthday and we came here and had substandard service and food. I also left dental equipment which I know was left at the restaurant but was told was not found. It is worth $3,600 and I'm sure it was just thrown away. After we left my significant other accidentally left her food because we couldnt get the table kiosk to work for our payment. Her main course was completely untouched (main course 11oz steak with sautéed onions and mushrooms and loaded baked potatoe) we called the manager to inform him of this and he said I'm so sorry we will give you a credit so next time you come in you can order "ANYTHING YOU WANT" so we order a another steak with sautéed onions and shrooms, a loaded baked potatoe, and Ceasar salad. After our order we recieved a call from a manager and were told that we only received a $20 credit when we were told we could order anything we wanted but once we received it we received an 8oz steak, instead of a loaded baked potatoe we received a normal baked potatoes with nothing on it and not even cut down the middle, and a Ceasar salad the size of a childs portion. Nowhere near the amount of lettuce you would receive inside the restaurant. Had to go back in to fix the baked potatoe and were just given the sides which is actually OK just wish a restaurant of this size would've went the extra mile to fix the original order. Guys and gals if you are ever in the northern colorado/ Fort Collins area please visit this location and see how service is supposed to be. I highly recommend this location if you are in this area or visiting Colorado. Amazing customer service, social interaction, and incredible atmosphere overall. If you can't make it to the northern colorado location I would recommend the S. 8th St. Texas roadhouse over this one. Maybe it was just a one off experience for us and I'm usually not one to post negative reviews but I hope this helps everyone and I hope if you do visit this location you truly have a...
Read moreYou know, typically Texas Road House isn’t a bad spot to go when we decide on a last minute dinner plan, nor is it in me to write a review even when restaurants aren’t the best. Service with Carson was amazing. HOWEVER! My sister ordered a salad with no croutons, and no bacon. The salad came back with bacon. We don’t eat pork of any sort, due to our religion. So we tell the food runner girl, it wasn’t supposed to have that, as both confess it was on the ticket and she will take care of it. We state to her it’s for religion so we would pick it off, if it wasn’t. The salad comes back maybe less than a minute later. My sister barely goes to take a bite, and I’m like “dude no, there is still bacon on that”. We go to ask the server if they just tossed the meat onto another plate to give it fresh lettuce, and used the same meat, and he says yes! It’s the same meat that had the bacon on it. The manager stopped by before we left to do a table touch, but of course my sister is just way too nice and “everything was great”. Hell no it wasn’t great. The fact they literally just used the same meat, because why make a new one for someone who doesn’t eat pork and just reuse it, as if we won’t know. It’s absolutely improper, disgusting, UNETHICAL, and shows that they don’t care about your beliefs, it makes me question if she was better off saying she’s allergic, but even then they would probably reuse it. Definitely ruined a good 10 years of my family and I being a regular there, ever again. It isn’t the servers fault, thank god he’s honest. It’s back of house, if your a place of business and it’s busy and tickets are coming in like crazy, and there is a mess up, it’s your due diligence to make it right the second time if it can’t be done right the first. So if your belief matters to you, or your allergies...
