Louie's Pizza — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

Louies on Barns tought me a very valuable lesson on the policy they have on fixing what THEY messed up. So not only did we not receive the sauce and extra sauces that were paid for woth the chedae bread, but they also messed up our large pizza and this is what to expect if they mess up your pizza, it is great fun.

1. After you have already made the trip there to pick up your pizza and bring it all the way home, you clearly see that it is not the pizza you ordered. So you call them to let them know.

2)The guy on the phone takes your replacement order (the pizza THEY made wrong) and tells you that it will be out in right away and to come get it. There is no mention of bringing the incorrect pizza back with you when you came (guess i need to read minds now too) because if there was, it would not have been an issue and i would have done so.

3)So you make the extra trip to the store only to be told that you can not have that replacement pizza they just made you (their mess up, not yours) until you go get the other pizza. Very upset by this point, get back in your car, and drive back to your house.

4. So by the time you get back to your house to get the pizza that THEY messed up the 3 hungry teenagers have continued to eat the pizza that THEY messed up because you were not told by their employee to do so. Had we been given the correct pizza in the first place, it would not have mattered if they ate it , but now it does. There is now not enough of the pizza that THEY messed up to give them so that you may now have the pizza that you originally ordered and has been re made for you.

This is how I missed the entire Sunday night family dinner. Great grandparents all the way down to the great grandchildren, and i got to miss it because THEY messed up my order in the first place.

Been coming to louies before it was louies. I used to hit on of the stores at leat once a week, and my parents would as well. This became such a big ordeal that we will not be back.

Worst part was the little kid at the counter kept saying sorry to hear that, but his actions ssid the opposite. Tried to make it my fault when it truly was 200% louies fault.

I am not just putting a bad review, i have given two 5 star reviews in the past which I will now go find and take down.

We love Louie’s, but I’m disappointed with this last trip. Giving the manager a chance to make it right…

Driving home just now we called and asked for the cheapest way to get 3 pizzas for our family. Definitely a newer guy taking the call: “Sure, let me check.” 2min later: “We have a deal: 2, 3-topping pizzas for $26.99.” Me: “Great, let’s just get two of those deals, then the kids have leftovers for lunch tmrw.” Him: “One sec, let me see if we can do that twice.” 2min later: “Yeah that works. What would you like?” Me: (on hands-free with kids in background telling us their favorite kinds we quickly had 3 pizza varieties, then were stuck on the 4th). “How about a BBQ chicken…? Chicken, bacon, onions… with BBQ sauce of course.” Him: “So, chicken, bacon, onion, and BBQ sauce?” Me: “Yeah, sounds great.” He then correctly restated the contents of all 4 pizzas, all sounded well, and goodbye, cya in 15min.

I pickup the pizzas 15min later and pay $69.62. I didn’t think anything of it right away, then realized, wait, 2 x $26.99 is NOT $70. So I ask an employee and he checks the order: “Yeah, you got one $26.99 special, then because the BBQ chicken is a specialty pizza that one’s $22.99 and then the 4th is charged at regular price, $15.99.” Me: 😯 I told him of my call and there was NO mention of an up charge for the BBQ chicken. His response: “Oh, sorry about that, it must have been one of my other guys…”

And that was that.

In the end it’s only an $8 difference, but it’s the business integrity of the matter I’m disappointed with. You’ve GOT to mention an up-charge or an item that doesn’t qualify for the special I’d understood to...

I have been going to this location for 24 years but the last year they have not been as good as in the past five of my last five visits they made mistakes. Twice the just FORGOT TO MAKE the food (causing me to reorder and wait over 30 minutes) and once they put on the WRONG TOPPINGS. I finally decided to write a review when my cheese bread came out with NO CHEESE.

I am updating my review and sharing I will not ever be going back after a fifth mistake in a row. I had not gone back for 6 months and tried one last time and this time the food came out RAW. When I asked to exchange it they said it is their policy that you cannot have the order corrected. I asked when I could call the owner to ask about the policy and they said maybe look him up and write a letter.

So many other options, Black Jack is tried and true and three lights away and the take out pizza from Rock Bottom is worth driving the extra half mile. Maybe try the Louies on Union if you are craving calzone but definitely don't go to this location; they have no quality control and very poor customer service.

I am checking in one year later, reporting that I have not missed going to Louise the past year. I found Mici two streets over and while it is a different kind of pizza I am really glad I found that location since they have great customer service and a superior loyalty...
