Mcdonald's is roughly the same as any other McDonald's. The workers are underpaid and the food tastes as it always does. Overall, it's not too bad for what it is. I don't expect gourmet or for the employees to be nice to me. It is comfort food for me.
However, last Friday was.... less than spectacular. My friends and I head through the drive-thru during dinnertime and place our order, no problem. At least that's how it was before we got to the first window to pay. The cashier repeats the wrong order back to us and we correct them. I don't know how McDonald's determines which order goes to what car with the double entrance. If it's via picture, then I don't think it would be possible to mistake our blue truck for a white sedan. If it's based on how the cars zipper into one another, I guess we zippered incorrectly. Either way, we pay for the correct order and move forward.
At this McDonald's they have 3 windows. Cashier, where you get your order, and the third is a waiting spot. We pull up to window 2 and there is a car at window 3 and they hand us our order. We take a quick peek inside the bag and it's not ours. We let them know and they take the food back and give it to the car at window 3.
I would like to point out at this time that we are in a pandemic. We took the bag and put our hands on that food to determine if it was ours and then they took the bag back. Now I'm not saying we should have kept it because of free food, but they should not have taken it back because if the pandemic and bonus cross contamination.
They then ask us if we have X, Y, Z order and we tell them no, we have A,B,C order. We give them the receipt to clarify. They have us pull up to window 3 and hand us another bag of food that is not ours! We tell them it's wrong, they take it back, and have us pull into a reserved parking spot.
After a few more minutes they come by with our food with the correct receipt and we take a cursory glance inside. It looks good and we head home. Sadly, they were short a sandwich and one of the spicy McChickens with no lettuce was also, curiously, missing its mayo.
It wasn't worth going back and crying over $3 of missing or incorrect food. I understand something happened in the kitchen and threw off like 7 or 8 orders and it probably took 45 minutes to get the whole team on track, but it was still rather disappointing.
I'm likely to be back because that location is the closest one, but I'm probably not going to make use of the...
Read moreWe are about to come back for the 3rd time just to get the large frappe we ordered with our breakfast meals using the app.
Unbeknownst to my friend or I, at approximately 6:00 a.m. every Thursday, an hour after they start serving breakfast, they turn off their frappe machine so they can clean it. Which I was told it takes 1 hour. We were told them to come back in an hour. When speaking with the manager and requesting to have a drink to go while we waited for this Friday we w myere told that he would have to charge us for it and that nothing's free.
So after we ate __breakfast and killed time for the remaining hour or so we came back an hour and 30 minutes later to be told that the frappe machine is still down and that the manager assumes it'll be done in about 30 min. So shortly this will be the 3rd trip we have had to waste our gas coming to this McDonald's to get 1 simple drink that we ordered with the rest of our breakfast in the app. Whatever manager works at this location on Thursday mornings is that manager. He wasn't wearing a name tag and he said his name was Dillon to my friend when he went inside to find out who the manager was. But, he wrote the name Idalia on the receipt which we are assuming is the drive-thru employee's name. And I would like to say that although she seems a little new at her job she is quite friendly and seems to try to be as helpful as she is allowed to be.
It's unfortunate because we literally live maybe 3 minutes away from this place driving, probably 10 minutes walking. And needless to say we won't be coming back here at all, at least not in the mornings. No matter how much we like it, it's not worth being treated like this. And definitely won't be recommending it to anybody. It seems amazing to me that they would decide to clean the frappe machine right at breakfast time? I am unsure if this is protocol or if they're just using it to do this at this location. If it is protocol I would definitely look into changing that or at least posting it somewhere on the drive-thru or in the app. Because it definitely was not posted anywhere at this McDonald's or...
Read moreOrdered at drive-through for lunch: 3 large meals, 2 large sprites, 1 large grimmice shake, and one happy meal.
Our order was read back to us by the first window and corrected twice.
What we got: 3 primary meals, 2 large fries, one medium fry, 2 medium sprite, medium shake, and a happy meal.
We asked "Adalia" to please correct our drinks and was showing her our receipt. She became extremely hostile, throwing her hands around telling us it was it was and to move on. She isn't fixing the shake or the last fry(bc we had handed her one thing to fix at time, she was highly annoyed, we just didn't want anything spilled or confused furthur) When I refused to argue with her foul mouth any longer, I asked for her name, she wouldnt say, so I asked for a Manger, she posed in the window and said she's the manager, I asked again... She then forcefully threw my fries at my husband, and she then locked the window and continued to talk to it. Until another employee opened it and tried her very best to understand what had just happened. The second employee gave us the first employees name and grabbed the actual manager immediately. The manager saw our receipt and fixed the order... but there wasn't much she could do about my family having to had to endure Adalia having a bad day. Approach drive through inaccuracies with...
