At 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 28th, I placed a large delivery order for my family. For context, I have six kiddos, a husband, and I’m pregnant-so pizza night is both necessary for convenience and survival. I ordered several large pizzas, mini Murphs, cheese bread, salads, sodas, and (most importantly) cinnamon wheels with extra frosting.
I received a text confirming DoorDash would deliver in about an hour. About 40 minutes later, the Dasher, Allison, texted to say they’d leave it on the porch, skipped the required pin verification, and left. When we brought the food inside, half the order was missing.
I called the Dasher—no answer. I texted—no response. I then used your website’s “Help” button from the order page, which specifically directed me to call the store (not DoorDash). I reached Ally, who didn’t bother to hear me out. She cut me off, said it was “a DoorDash problem,” and dismissed me. No apology, no curiosity about what was missing, no empathy. Just a brush-off, as though I’d called to waste her time.
So, as Ally advised (& opposite of what the Papa Murphys website said) I called DoorDash. After 20 minutes of back and forth, they insisted they couldn’t refund me since the charge went through Papa Murphy’s—but assured me they had spoken with the store, requested a redelivery, and that my food was on the way. I asked how I could track the redelivery and was told that I couldn’t, but to “trust them” that my replacement was on the way. I agreed. After all, I really just wanted my order. But DoorDash lied. By 7:30 p.m., no food had arrived, my husband baked what we had, and my kids were disappointed. And to top things off, I didn’t get my cinnamon wheels I had been so looking forward to.
The next morning, I tried again. DoorDash now said a refund could be requested (the opposite of what I’d been told the night before) and that I’d receive an email from Papa Murphy’s “in a couple of days.” They also offered another redelivery—at 11:00 a.m. for sides and desserts that were supposed to arrive the night before. Needless to say, that was not helpful.
And here’s what makes the situation worse: I tipped a Dasher who ignored my calls, bypassed the pin meant to protect my order, and only delivered half of it. Yet there’s no way to recover that money. Tips are for service and there was none.
By this point, I had already spent hours chasing resolution. I called Papa Murphys after hanging up with DoorDash. When I spoke with the manager, Destiny, she at least listened, but her “apology” was quickly followed by dismissal. She said she’d “call her GM and let him know,” but never explained what that meant for me. Instead, she shifted the blame to her employee Ally, saying Ally was “way wrong,” as if pinning it on her staff solved anything. She said she confirmed that DoorDash did NOT deliver my food and that Ally lied about this being the issue with the refund. I candidly explained that with certainty, DoorDash was, in fact, the delivery partner. Destiny then admitted she wasn’t sure how delivery works herself.
When I listed the missing items, Destiny interrupted me and incorrectly claimed I had only ordered one pizza. At this point, I had my order memorized from recounting it so many times. She eventually offered a partial refund for the missing items, but that was the end of it. No accountability, no empathy, no effort to make things right.
So here’s where I was left: • Three pizzas split between eight people. • Hours of phone calls, empty promises, and finger-pointing. • A tip I can’t recover for a Dasher who didn’t do their job. • A manager who blamed her staff, shrugged off accountability, and leaned on “calling the GM.” • And still… no cinnamon wheels.
If I wanted three pizzas and a side of frustration, I would have ordered differently. What I wanted was a full meal, a working delivery process, and just a shred of compassion when things went wrong. Instead, not only did I receive none of that, I also never received those extra frosted...
Read moreI have been frequenting this location for years. As much as once a week during the school year. It’s always been great until lately.. My last to visits were awful. On January 23 I called in an order and then arrived a few minutes early. I was told it wasn’t ready so I sat down. After waiting and watching about 4 customers get served before me I got up and asked. They had put my food in the back even though I had checked in and paid. No apologies or anything. Just handed them to me. I was running late at that point so I left quickly. I got home and opened the salad I had just bought with my pizzas. Disgusting and brown under the first layer. It was a big part of the meal so I was pretty annoyed. I gave them a call and the girl said oh yeah, that’s been happening a lot. I asked her how I could get my money back and she said she’d write down that I could have a free pizza with my next order. I confirmed that she had said pizza. Seemed good to me considering that our dinner was messed up, how awful the customer service was and the nasty salad. I gave my kids something else to round out the meals Today, January 30, I called to get the free pizza among other items. I was put on hold for a very long time then someone else got on the phone and said I could have a free side. I asked why that was since the girl had said a pizza and I had even confirmed that. She said she couldn’t give me a free pizza. This is despite them not filling the order on time, being rude, and selling me rotten food. I told her never mind. I had to get somewhere for an appointment and I didn’t have time to deal with them. If I ever order Papa Murphy’s again it certainly won’t be from the Circle location. I’ll probably just order...
Read more6-7-25 Wow here we are 7 years later and they still have the same problems. One pizza was made properly and the other completely different. It's a large pizza pan with a medium pizza on it. Actually it's not a medium or a thin crust, it's just a large crust that was not spread to the edges at all or allowed to rise, 2 inches of bare pan covered with cheese all the way around. Ordered double pepperoni and double olives. The good one had double, the other didn't. Both pizza's however did have cheese all over the bottom of them. I guess we'll have to drive past this store to the farther store for another 7 years.
I came here to leave another review and I don't even need to. It would be identical to the review I left here 3 years ago. 3 years later it is exactly the same. Go to a different location unless you want what we consistently get from this location. I guess I'll lower my 2 star to a 1 star. We will also NEVRR use this location again.
Toppings not sprinkled carefully at all - large bald spot right next to a pile of too much. Crust had not properly risen, wondered if it was mistakenly placed on a thin crust. You need to clean the bottom of the pizza's pan, because the toppings that are stuck on the bottom of the pan from being prepared on a dirty surface falls into our oven and eventually the oven needs cleaning. It took a long time to figure that one out because we don't spill anything in the oven yet our oven keeps getting dirtier and dirtier. Please make the pizzas on a CLEAN...
