The short summary of this is that they have bad seating, they have bad service, they don't care about allergies, and they have a scam instead of a bottomless deal. If you like getting half a drink & fries and then getting the other half of your drink & fries when you're leaving, I would suggest going here. But why not do Bubbas (across the street) or A&W instead, at least then you'd get a full good meal, and fast too.
Went there today and got seated at a table that was way to close to other tables to the point where waitresses kept asking us to move in order to pass us, and also right under the air conditioner so it was really cold, and it made my food cold while I was eating it. Seating was bad but what can you do. We went there specifically for bottomless root beer floats + other bottomless things like fries, it was advertised as that and it sounded like a good time, but the reality is that they give you glasses half full of rootbeer and a little bit of softserve ice cream and like 40% air. At this point I'm like "okok, I get it, you don't want to have people be wasting bottomless drinks on full drinks" so I finished my drink, we got some fries, and then we got our food, we ate our food, and after we were about done paying we got a second round of rootbeer floats. At this point I'm already really cold from where I'm sitting, and the fries we had were cold too from being under constant AC so it's not like it was enjoyable food, so a rootbeer float wasn't really all that great to add onto it, but I still wanted to have like a full rootbeer I guess so yipee? We also got extra fries at the same time (for the box to take home I guess), I don't know. I get it that the place can get busy, but rootbeer floats with softserve take as long as other drinks to make. The whole thing felt like a scam, without even mentioning the fact that they got one of the orders wrong and gave someone allergic to tomatoes, a tomato and "pickle relish" (that for some reason also has tomatoes in it) on their burger when they had specifically said that they couldnt have tomatoes.
The only good thing I can say is that the waitress was friendly and helpful when she was able to be around and the food was made properly (aside from the allergy thing). I just want to make sure that the store manager reading this doesn't think it's their employees problem, it's just their garbage policies and money saving tactics they're being scummy about. I'm never going here again, I'd rather go to Bubbas across the street or any A&W and I suggest anyone to go...
Read moreLet me start this off with the positive of my experience. The server I had rocked it. She was kind, caring and on point. My start to visit was not good. The hostess was unprofessional and down right RUDE and spiteful. I asked for booth and he immediately got annoyed. He told me they had no booths. At 4:10 PM the restaurant was visibly available. And for whatever reason my request pissed him off he proceeded to tell me there was none. I was admit about it cause I have two smaller boys and it’s just easier. As former server myself I asked if it was due to lack of severs in those sections and he said we don’t have any available. I knew he was just ticked off so I said okay then I would like to wait for one to be available. He placed me on a wait and sat everyone who came in after me including at least 2 other families in booths who came in after me while having me on the waitlist. I believe it was a manager who saw us waiting and asked if we had been helped and the rude little guy said yes I was about to seat them. So we got taken back. If it wasn’t for that man we would have waited the full 30 mins or more . I told the server about my experience and she apologized and told management on my behalf. And the manager was very respectful and understanding of my feelings on the matter. He too apologized and even discounted my bill. The server checked on us often and was extremely kind and caring. She even accidentally rang in cheese burgers for my boys instead of hamburgers but worked to get fixed quickly and showed concern for the mix up. Moral of the whole story is if I hadn’t been a server in the past the actions of the host could have clouded my judgement and understanding of the restaurants overall service. One bad apple doesn’t mean the whole bunch is ruined. So to the staff that showed my family compassion and kindness props to you. My server got a high tip for her effort in making my experience better. And hopefully the person causing the problem is at least talked to about his actions. He doesn’t have a true customer service attitude and more of that high school bully. But in the end I had good food, and great server and overall would recommend this location. Also the boneless wings Island Heat are phenomenal...
Read moreAbsolutely atrocious service and mediocre meals at this Red Robin last night. Went for a cheaper, lighter, faster, and easier meal after our trip to the Renaissance Festival for our wedding so people could just do something easy or get drinks, however, it was just about all BUT that. The restaurant had maybe 4 or 5 tables sitting down and we had to wait a couple mins to get a table together for 11 people, not a big deal. Our server asks us if we would like drinks, I get my coke zero but never saw my water. My son had ordered the "bottomless" steak fries and received more fries only one additional time even though he asked for more a few different times (I literally NEVER got more of my "bottomless" fries) but for some reason they were more than happy to continue bringing out bottomless broccoli for my brother, not an issue there at all have as much broccoli as you want apparently! My burger was good. Can't complain there at all, just never got more fries and wouldn't have paid for them to begin with if I knew I wasn't ever going to get more than the one small serving of fries they gave me. My new wife, however, had the absolute worst experience. The server poured coke all over her back and didn't notice. She apologized profusely after she had realized what happened but then proceeded to nearly do it again, maybe we need a different method of delivering drinks across a table? She removed her entrée from the order as an apology but when she finally went to eat her chicken wrap... she tried to bite into the most hard, stale tortilla I've ever seen at a restaurant. Had them take it back, no remake, just give us our ticket so we can be done. Mind you, this place was DEAD. HALF of my party only ordered drinks and we were waiting upwards an hour for food. This is by far some of the worst service I've ever seen from a restaurant as a whole in my life. I will be submitting a corporate complaint and I will NOT return here.
Go to Chili's instead, ultimately my fault for making...
