Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

I'm not in this area of town often, I hate the people who live and shop in this part of town, and the service of all businesses in this area is—at best—less than adequate.

This Jack in the Box location is not any different. If you want good service, do yourself a favor and drive out of this horrific and degenerate neighborhood and visit the Jack in the Box on Austin Bluff, they always do a great job, I've never had even one issue there and the food is on point.

None of these things have been true anywhere on the east side of Colorado Springs, it's like everyone is lazy and possibly high. At my visit to this Jack in the Box location last night I placed a mobile order from the parking lot, waited five minutes, then proceeded into the drive-through. My wait time from being told to pull ahead to the window to having all my food was twenty minutes; there was one vehicle ahead on me, I ordered two meals and some tacos. The order was paid online, because all mobile orders must be paid to be placed, but I was presented with an amount due when I reached the window which indicated that they had lost track of the current orders. This is odd, but easily rectified and soon the already sealed bag with my order was found and the young lady took two cups and went around the corner to the lobby to fill the drinks.

“That's odd,” I pontificated as we awaited our food, “perhaps that machine right there isn't working,” I said as I pointed to the obvious drink machine. The drinks were to the brim with ice but the beverage itself didn't make it half way up the cup. Somehow my straw was also already broken, just an odd thing in general, but something I noticed.

Oh, but it doesn't stop there. Upon handing me the order the young lady seemed to become terrified. She hid with a timid and confused look as she watched us check the order for completeness: an absolute requirement if you order food in this part of town, I've never seen even the most simple of orders made without error. Of course, there were no fries when there was meant to be two; the young lady made the fries and handed them to me as plainly as I just explained, no gloves (perhaps fine? I'm not convinced of the food safety here) and no bag, just holds two hastily made small fries out the window with hesitation like I'm some kind of monster. I mean, I know I'm ugly but there's no need to be afraid, I'm well known to be very nice to everyone and especially fellow service industry workers.

So between bagging the order incorrectly, the leisurely pace at which the food was made, what I'm hoping was just having no idea how to prepare drinks, and the generous assumption that this new hire simply was having an anxiety attack, I feel like I made the wrong choice to stop here. I have never been treated so poorly at an establishment in my life. After being ignored in the drive through for 5 minutes I finally started saying hello until a lady came on and started saying number, over and over again. I asked if she spoke English and she finally said window. I pulled up to the window and was told they didn’t speak English. I understand a fair amount of Spanish though I don’t speak it well. I asked if anyone spoke English. No… I asked for the manager they just closed the window and walked away. I assumed to get a mgr but they left me there for another 10 min. Finally a very young looking female came to the window and asked “what do you Want “ with a lot of attitude. I asked if she was the manager, she said yes what do you Want? I asked why she didn’t have anyone that spoke English to run the drive through. That I had been waiting 20 minutes for service. (The lady behind me had walked up to the window and said she had also been waiting as long) She asked if I wanted to order. I said at this point no. Then she just started cursing at me to get out of her DT. I said fine, I’ll just call corporate. She said there here if you want to talk to them. So i pulled around parked and before i got to the door she came running out telling me corporate didn’t want to talk me to which I replied because they aren’t here. She started cursing me again, threatened to call the cops and banned me from ever going back. (Like I would give business to an establishment that treats customers that way). All in Front of my kids. I was completely taken aback. Needless to say I left but would love an opportunity to speak with the owner. If this person really is the manager she’s hostile and clearly doesn’t care about your business. At this point you couldn’t pay me to return. This all transpired on 5/25/25 eat in order number #447 jack in the Box store #8143 so at 2:43:36 pm me and my two kids walked into this establishment an ordered the following 2 classic popcorn chicken small box 1 spicy chicken with no lettuce or tomato 1 mini churro I paid 25.17.. soon as my order was taken they had multiple people returning to the store who had used the drive thru original cause of wrongs orders..🤔🧐 so I got a little worried my food would either be wrong or have to be remade do to (lack of pride in work ) I’ve seen sports superstars flop on the court but never in fast food the stud girl pretended to get popped by grease in her eyeball when it wasn’t even cooking 🤣🤣 the store was completely dead only me my sons and a couple eating.. so the shift leader with the boot on her foot didn’t want to work either.. the flop took a 15 minute break no surprise lol so then the shift leader started to make my order she never once looked at the order screen to see what the order consists of just put everything on the bun like the training video said to do so from a distance I see her making my sandwich wrong and I confronted her about the error she gave me attitude I her ass it’s way too in the middle of the day for y’all to so many errors and it’s not busy/slammed/wrapped/down the block/ fast food talk.
