I went in for first time to try a new smoothie/fruit bowl location and my first experience was not good. I got a PB&J bowl. The bowl was way too sweet with an excess amount of some kind topping. I took it back to the register after the first bite and asked if I could do swap for something else or have it made slightly different. The employee said they would have to reach out to the manager by phone as they didnât know how to handle that. The manager stated they cannot do refunds or exchanges. They could only offer half off for the next purchase which I found quite disrespectful. I simply wanted to try something else that wasnât drowned in extra sweeteners and didnât want a refund by any means. They have no posted policy and I feel like they just made that up to prevent having to make something else.
Edit:follow up to the companyâs response. To quote their own website, âRush Bowls offer healthy, delicious alternatives to standard fast casual fare, the amount of jelly placed in our bowl was objectively unhealthy. there was an excessive amount of âjellyâ mixed in that couldnât be removed or even pushed to the side. that made it extremely unpleasant. Hence the âdrowned in extra sweetenersâ. It was extremely over powering. Additionally, the company still did not address their return policy. My husband arrived and waited till 8:15 and no one was there and building looked closed. He decided to go to smoothie king instead and when he drove back he saw the location open and walked in to use the bathroom while waiting for the order at this point it was around 8:40ish. The only lady that was there got startled and accused my husband of âsneaking inâ when the doors were open and UNLOCKED. She stated she was the only person there and they were having their grand opening at 10:30am. More people started entering and she announced it to everyone as well. My husband told her that on the website it stated 8am and thereâs no sign outside stating this information either and that the order was placed online which was charged.
