Updated after initial review- 11 months later: Disappointed to be updating my review as follows: upon walking in I immediately notice the young lady working in the open kitchen with her hair down (hair length was past her shoulders). It did appear that she was helping with preparing orders/ food handling.
She stepped away from that to take our order.
As we waited for our order I noticed the young lady taking orders-handling cash money- and then returning to what looked like helping with the food. Not washing hands or wearing gloves.
She was also chewing gum so very obviously that it made me question how sanitary that is in kitchen environment.
I did decide to voice my concerns to the owner before we left.
I was met with "you broke the rules first by bringing in outside food" as he confused me to be part of a family that did bring in outside food. I clarified I was in fact NOT part of that party. He really didn't seem too concerned for the how unsanitary the situation was. And tried to state that she's not handling the food, he was. I let him know that from MY PERSPECTIVE it certainly appears she is. He also said he's keeping a close eye to make sure no hair ends up in the food and if it does he will refund my order- besides the point.
It wasn't until I mentioned updating my Google review and that I wanted to bring my concerns to him first before his attitude changed. At that point he starts to state the young lady can't pull her back as she's recently had surgery. I don't see how she can't throw a hairnet over her hair...
Food quality was also not on par from what I recall- lacking flavor.
After the lack of concern from the owner and the quality in food and what appear to be unsanitary conditions this go round I don't plan on dining here again, if ever at this point.
Initial review: Yummmmmmmmmmmy.
This restaurant boasts a clean bright environment with delicious food.
The food here is so flavored and tasty. I can't get enough.
A friend from Iraq and I dined here, he loves the falafel. I absolutely love the chicken kabob wrap. It is my favorite.
The spicy chicken kabob plate is also amazing with just the right kick. The rice even has such incredible flavor. And I'm not even a fan of garbanzo beans but I sure had a few bites of those too.
They do get busy and can tend to take a bit of time to prepare your order but it is well worth the wait.
I also love how one of their combos is...
Read moreWould have loved to give this place 5 stars but it took me 30 minutes of waiting just to get a lamb kabob wrap, fries and an order of rice. I walked in with no line waited about 5 minutes in front of the register to order, which is fine they were busy and judging by the help wanted flyer are understaffed. I placed my order to go and sat down to wait. I then saw no less than 4 people order after me and get served before I did. I continued to patiently wait and after 25 minutes I stood up to ask about my order only to be told that they were finally working on it and 5 minutes later I had my order. Based on their other ratings maybe this was an anomaly but I was not expecting to wait 30 minutes to receive my food and was thoroughly disappointed to see 4 people who ordered after me be served before me, then offered no explanation or even a sorry for your wait when my order was finally ready. One other thing I noticed since I had the time to sit and observe the cashier was using the same gloves while preparing food to handle the cash register as well, not an overly huge deal for me but I figured it was worth noting since I had nothing better to do while I waited. Customer service goes a long way with me and I highly doubt I will be returning.
To be fair thanks for your quick response and I should have considered they ordered ahead of time. I will gladly change my review and come back one more time as the food was very...
Read moreA quick trip to King Scoopers had me noticing a new restaurant in the parking lot that I’ve never seen before. As chance would have it, we were running late on time and decided to get dinner here today.
Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. The smells in here are incredible. My children ordered the gyro wraps (which are enormous) and my husband and I tried their combo plates (the photo included shows everything that comes with the kabob combo). My husbands had his with the spicy chicken. We also ordered samosas and baklava. This is not a cheap meal but if you don’t mind that, you won’t be disappointed. The food here is fantastic and generous enough that I think my husband and I can spit a kabob plate in the future (update: we can adding a side of rice). The chickpeas are fantastic and so full of flavor. We also loved the two sauces they provided. We will definitely ask for extra next time. I’m so excited to have a good restaurant around this side of town. We will definitely be back.
Update: We’ve been here several times and the food never disappoints. The staff is always friendly, checking in with how we are enjoying everything. It’s important to point out, this is not a fast food restaurant. Your food won’t be ready to grab in 5 minutes. Their food is made fresh, from scratch to order. It’s not sitting under heat lamps. I absolutely love that. You can taste that difference and it’s...
