Shake Shack Interquest — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

I didn’t try the burgers, so can’t say much about them, but if you’re wanting one of those chicken sandwiches that they make look sooo good on their menu, take this as a sign… I was going to give them a 2 star review -IF the food was better than the experience…

This was our first time trying shake shack. The pictures look so much better than what you get. We drive up to the drive thru, and review the menu briefly. We ask the employee if he’s ever tried the hot chicken sandwich. Very vaguely, he responds “no but people say it’s good”. So we get it, and we also get a regular chicken sandwich.

we ask for combo, they don’t have any. so we buy everything separately. we ask for a signature lemonade (kiwi apple). they don’t have that flavor. we ask for another signature lemonade “oh actually, we don’t have any of our signature lemonades right now”. okay i guess we won’t get a drink just the sandwich and fries. we ask for buffalo sauce. they don’t have any. we were the ONLY car in line, the day before christmas eve while everyone is out doing last minute christmas shopping. all other fast food restaurants on the area- full lines as always. i guess we should’ve taken that as a sign- if no one is in line right now (dinner time) it can’t be good. we sat at the order pickup window for 5 mins. to top it all off, the chicken itself has absolutely no flavor at all. ZERO. not even the spicy chicken sandwich has any type of flavor. this is why we wanted buffalo sauce to go with it. oh and also, both our buns were very cold. they toasted the buns, and let the buns sit while they waited for the chicken to cook because the chicken was VERY hot freshly out the fryer. the buns- ice cold (but toasted).

overall, never going to shake shack willingly ever again, and you shouldnt either. and Mind you, i rarely EVER review any places. I’m not a review type person whatsoever....

I don't like giving one star reviews, but this one is well deserved. I don't have a lot of time for my lunch break so I used the self service computers because no one was at the front when I entered. It did not give the option to print a receipt and I would have had to give my email for a receipt. I do not want to give my email to just any business. Likewise, it asks for your phone number for notification when food is done. Again, I do not want to give my phone # to just any business. The machine also prompts you to take a small stand with a number to input for your order so that when it's finished someone could take it out to you. Ok that's fine, normal for a restaurant to do. I grab one, put the number in, finish and pay for the meal, and take a seat to wait for my meal. 15 minutes later I'm still waiting and decide to check the shelf for pickup orders (there was a bag that had sat there for some time). Turns out,it was my order. No one called out the number and obviously no one brought it to me. Since I didn't have time to wait for another to be made, I grabbed it and told the girl at the front that they needed to call out the orders (if they did, they were too quiet especially with the music as loud as it was. I couldn't imagine having a conversation in there it is that loud) and left. Needless to say the food had become lukewarm and the shake had half melted. Very disappointed with my experience. I haven’t even tried this place yet I’ve actually been really wanting to but I came in Saturday night 3/8 to pick up an uber eats order and the lady with the braid was extremely rude for no reason. I was just standing at the front waiting patiently for someone to help me and she came up and just stared at me, didn’t say a single thing, finally after a few seconds of just staring at each other I say “hello!” And she doesn’t respond so I just show her my phone and say “I have an order for…” to which she just turns around goes to grab the order and literally SLAMS it down on the table??? So I say “thank you” and she STILL doesn’t say a single thing!! She legit did not say a single word to me the entire time and slammed my uber order on the table. I left this place completely dumbfounded, I’ve worked plenty of customer service jobs but no matter how bad my day is going I’ve never treated customers the way I’ve seen a lot of people doing so these days and keep in mind I was already having a bad night as well (I assume that’s the reason she acted that way) but I was polite the entire time and couldn’t even get a simple “hello” or “you’re welcome” or even just a smile during my visit here. That’s actually crazy I don’t understand how people like this have jobs. That alone has made me decide to not even try...
