I am a GrubHub driver and was sent here to pickup an order for a customer. I arrived at about 7:30pm. Pickup of the order was supposed to be 7:37pm. When I got there, I was told "this order is 3 orders behind what we are making so you'll have to wait." I waited. and in a span of 20mins watched the employees make 6 orders before the one I came in to pick-up was even started. I waited for between 35-45mins for this location to make the order I came in to pickup. It took a 2nd manager yelling at the whole crew to get this GrubHub order made before they even made it. By the time I left this location I had been there for 45mins or longer when the order I picked up was a 7 item, quick order. The staff knew I was there and it took almost half the time I was there to even get anyone's attention. When they brought me the food, they threw it on the counter and when I asked "is this everything?" because I wasn't allowed to double check myself, I was met with a "yeah." and a dismissive shoulder shrug with an eye roll as though this order and the fact that I had 45mins of my time and someone else's time completely wasted due to this happening, didn't matter at all. Whoever was running this location as a manager before 7:45pm this evening, you did an absolutely abysmal job with keeping the standard of quick, fresh, fast, and friendly tonight. I'm not one to say things like this, however as someone who has literally ran a Taco Bell by myself TWICE previously with less people than whom I saw there tonight, do WAY better than this. There was 6 people on the expedition line and there's no excuse for not having made or even started a 7 item simple order for 45mins no matter how busy it is. For how small the whole item was after receiving it, that was completely appalling. Until a 2nd woman manager got there it was pretty much nonstop nobody actually doing anything timely or effectively. Not to mention the whole back of the house in the kitchen was a slip hazard for all of the workers because nobody had tended to it properly. That's a hazard for all of you employees there, and the lobby was full of people waiting for God knows how long. I got there at 7:30pm for pickup and didn't even get out of there until 8:10pm. That's unacceptable no matter how busy you are. GrubHub orders and DoorDash orders are typically the first things to go out as part of restaurant policy....if my old boss had seen any of what I did tonight and worked for this location, everyone would've been out of jobs and failed a CORE inspection for how bad this was. That should say something.
I would also like to mention a HUGE appreciated THANK YOU to the wonderful woman I spoke to about getting help who got there around 7:45p or after, (I didn't get her name, but she has some beautiful sleeve tattoos & gorgeous ION brand dyed purple/magenta dyed hair) because if you hadn't been there I'd of been waiting for over an hour. I appreciate you, your kindness, and attentiveness so much. Thank you so much.
I've attached 2 pictures. 1) the order this location gave me and 2) the order I came to pick-up. There is NO reason this should've taken almost an hour when it takes no more than 10mins to make this order. I understand dinner rush, but this was way more than that. It was carelessness, and forgetfulness at best until someone else stepped in to help. Thank God for that. "Mad/frustrated/upset" doesn't even remotely describe the feeling waiting 45mins for someone else's order left me with. Thank God they weren't mad, but I explained to them what happened. Personally after this experience, I will not be coming back here for any reason. I've never been so furious walking out of a Taco Bell, much less for an order that wasn't even mine. If this was my order I would've probably screamed at y'all because WHY. If you don't want to wait an hour or longer for your food, avoid this place.
Every single one of y'all employees and managers (for the exception of whom I spoke to after 7:45pm tonight) PLEASE DO BETTER THAN THIS!! Don't waste people's time and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhile I'm waiting on hold to talk to corporate, I guess I'll write a review to go with all the other poor experiences that customers experience at this store.
We order from Taco Bell approximately once a week, to give us a break from cooking homemade meals. Unfortunately, every time we order we get shorted on the portions.
My wife is the one who orders on the app then picks it up from the store to bring back home. Although she tries to check for everything, she often comes back with under-portioned burritos.
That is when I get involved. I am used to just letting it slide because I'm too tired to drive back down to the store, correct the issue and drive back home, but as of late I'm not having it anymore!
Last week I drove down to the store and asked for a manager. A husky girl with black hair and glasses was receptive to my comments and issue. I asked her if the burrito ordered is what I got. She said it was not made correctly, so she fixed it. She said she would give remedial training to the employees.
This week I had the same problem. Lack of portion size for an order that I added extra items to (and paid for!). This time when I drove back to the store I asked for a manager and got a different "store manager".
This store manager was rude. She was a smaller, white female with a "deer in the headlights" look. She was not sympathetic to the fact that they consistently do not stick to a standard and that I have to drive back to the store when I get an order. All she kept saying was she could remake my burritos. I told her that it won't fix the larger issue of them consistently not sticking to a standard. It was obvious she didn't care and that really sucks coming from a manager.
I asked for contact information for the owner and was told no. I asked for contact information for her manager and she said no. I asked for her name and she wouldn't give it to me. I asked for how to contact corporate, even a snail mail address, and was given nothing. Whatever happened to business cards for these type of situations?
I read her the riot act and told her I would not be letting this slide anymore.
The store manager is obviously in over her head. She is not providing training that results in a consistent standard. If I need to order in a different way, based off a standard, I have no issue with that. Right now it is a total crapshoot.
All I want is to order some simple Taco Bell and get what I paid for. This does not happen at this particular store.
The owner needs to know about this. The manager's manager needs to know about this. I have enjoyed Taco Bell for close to 40 years and this store is far below the norm.
UPDATE: the corporate line I called gave me a $10 credit and a PROMISE that they would look into it AND give me a call back. We shall see. Like I said, I'm not giving up. We'll see what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe ordered Taco Bell tonight and got it delivered for the first time. The only reason I did was because of the free delivery deal with the cantina chicken tacos. Unfortunately due to that, it was delivered from the Dublin/Powers location rather than the one I normally go to.
To start, we noticed that the loaded beef nachos were missing. Then pulled out my two cantina chicken tacos and noticed they felt like broken, empty shells in a wrapper. Yup, pretty much, broken shells with a sprinkle of meat and a sprinkle of cheese. See the photos. I was going to let the nachos slide and just dispute on the app, but those tacos were a straight joke.
I ended up driving to the location with the intention to ask them to remake it and pickup my nachos that were missed. I go inside and the lady at the register calls me up. I set my bag down on the counter and I explained that I just received my order and that my nachos were missing. She saw the little bag of side chips sitting at the top of the bag and told me those were my nachos bell grande and they come that way. If she had simply looked at the sticker on my bag instead of assuming, she would have known that I was talking about of the loaded beef nachos that we ordered, not the side chips that came with another part of our order.
Rather than argue with her about the nachos, I proceeded by pulling out the cantina chicken tacos. She looked at them and told me thatās how they are made. I just looked at her like, ācāmon, really?ā At this point she said she would remake it. Iāve had these plenty of times before and I can confidently say that this is not how they are suppose to be made. However, by now it was very clear that even a remake would be pointless since this was the standard by her own admission. I asked for a refund which she provided.
I get it, itās Taco Bell. But thereās Taco Bell, and then there is really bad Taco Bell. I donāt ever get a meal from Taco Bell expecting high quality Mexican food, just like I donāt go to McDonalds expecting a gourmet burger. But I do expect to get what I pay for, and this wasnāt even close, even for Taco Bell.
Iāll end with some advice. When you very clearly mess up, donāt lie about it or gaslight your customers by suggesting that we donāt actually know what we ordered or how it should be prepared. Not all of us are as dumb as you clearly...
