Never been here before so I am excited to see how the food is. It's hard to find a really good Chinese food restaurant that has not been tainted by how fast the order can be prepared. Sadly after trying the fried rice, it's very bland with no seasoning. Orange chicken is good. The meal was dinner portion and lunch were the same size. But the price is different based on when order. Egg roll is your typical flavor but the wonton was amazingly fried the cheese tasted bad not sure why. It overall is not a bad place meal was ready in about 5-7 minutes and hot. The only disappointment was in the cost, no napkins considering the meal was pretty greasy. Along with not enough packets of sauce provided. Would I recommend this place I would say yes. It's a little pricey and not a great source for families to all come together. Handicapped people also are not easily able to go inside. But for delivery and self pickup it's okay better than a lot of places I tried. 3...
Read moreThis is the second Chinese food place I’ve tried in Colorado Springs, the first was a Chinese American buffet style. The food here was tasty. I ordered beef lo mein, hubby ordered combination fried rice, and we shared egg roles and cheese wontons. The appetizers were delicious and crispy. However the meat inside of the entrees were under par in my opinion. The beef was super soft almost soggy feeling in the mouth like it’s been defrosted for sure. It wasn’t horrible but I expected it to be better quality because the appetizers were great quality. We paid just under $40 for all 4 of these food items. Neither my husband or I could finish it in one sitting. I got 2-3 meals out of it and my husband got 2 meals out of it.
We got our food to go, so don’t have a full sit-in review for this place. We ordered over the phone and they gave us a 20-25 minute timeframe.
I recommend this...
Read moreMy mom and I stumbled upon 18 Wok this year, and I'm so glad we did! Everything has tasted bright and fresh. The first time I bit into a carrot I thought, "why does this carrot taste so amazing?!" I imagine the chef painstakingly picking out every ingredient for freshness in prep for the day.
I've had the shrimp and broccoli and the cashew chicken, both times with streamed rice and wonton soup. The broth of the wonton soup is perfectly seasoned and comforting. Both entrees were delicious, and again, with every ingredient brightly presenting their best selves. My mom has had the szechuan beef with egg drop soup, and I can't put words in her mouth, but the fact that this small, frail lady tried to eat every bite because she was enjoying it so much and didn't want to let it go to waste says something.
We don't live nearby, but it has been worth the trek for our...
