This hotel is horrible! I’ve been to many hotels in life and around the country and BY FAR THIS IS THE WORST OF THEM YET! First it was the horrible customer service at the front desk, they wouldn’t let my mother and 3 sisters stay because they were locals and would not refund them the money but luckily with a tuff argument they finally let them stay.
We were trying to stay there for our graduation in downtown as it would make the trip easier for my family, me and my girlfriend. But this service is outrageous and disrespectful! They would tell us we can stay here or go somewhere else if we liked if we had problem we wanted to resolve. We were being as respectful as possible as well and even was willing to submit to whatever there solution is. But WOW are they disrespectful and unwelcoming!
If that wasn’t enough to keep you away from this hotel, our Uhaul we were driving was broken in broad, daylight in front of the hotel and stole a-lot of our clothes, briefcase and electronics but when we went to the front desk to ask for the footage for the police to investigate, they declined and said they needed a manager to do it and there won’t be one not until late at night 2am-5am(when no one is coming in) and still hadn’t gotten it as we speak. They only let us park the Uhaul closer to the building and that’s it. We asked the local liquor shop and Mac n cheese restaurant for footage but they didn’t have the angles for it, but informed us that there had been tons of break ins in peoples cars over in the hotel’s parking lot recently because there workers park there and have had there cars broken in.
The pools chlorine is high to the point you start to have a rash and feel a burning Sensation, eyes burn right as you get in without putting your head in the water, you get a bad headache (these were with me, my girlfriend, and my family’s experience).
Bed is hard as a rock, pillows are stiff, the AC is inconsistent and constantly blows air instead trying to keep temperature, and the highway keeps everyone up at night, not just me and my family but some other guests also experienced this.
The breakfast is usually over seasoned. The fitness center is a true joke in its self, it has a broken TV, minors pointed at a angle, cord everywhere, and TV’a on treadmills are limited as possible. The elevator was worrisome because of the note saying it’s sensitive and the creek and dings of the elevator didn’t help. It’s next to the ghetto part of town, near lots of homeless, next to a few Abandon buildings, and no where near any stores other than a few gas stations and liquor stores.
There is some good, they did have a good hot tub, the space and how clean the rooms are wonderful, the view is great, and the snack bar is pleasant but that’s about it.
Don’t recommend these guys, go stay at a different hotel. Please don’t be like me and my family and experience this terrible place.
Forgot to mention they charge a high damage deposit...
Read moreI had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Colorado Springs. Here are a few things that I particularly enjoyed about my stay:
Clean and Fresh-Smelling Rooms
One of the things that stood out to me about the Holiday Inn and Suites was how clean and fresh-smelling the rooms were. Compared to other hotel chains, which allow pets and can sometimes have a musty smell as a result, the Holiday Inn and Suites was a breath of fresh air. The rooms were impeccably clean and had a pleasant, hotel-fresh scent that made it feel like a truly relaxing and enjoyable place to stay.
Friendly Front Desk Staff
The lady working the front desk was another highlight of my stay. She greeted me and my two daughters every time we walked in the front doors, from check-in to check-out. Her friendly and welcoming demeanor made us feel right at home and added to the overall positive atmosphere of the hotel.
Thorough Housekeeping
The housekeeping staff at the Holiday Inn and Suites were also top-notch. They did a thorough job of cleaning our room each day, making sure that every detail was taken care of and that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Delicious Breakfast
The breakfast at the Holiday Inn and Suites was another highlight. They offered a wide variety of options, including eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and more. Everything was cooked nicely and tasted delicious, making it the perfect way to start each day of our stay.
Pool and Hot Tub
Finally, I have to mention the pool and hot tub. We swam in them every single day and loved every minute of it. The pool was the perfect size for swimming laps or just splashing around, and the hot tub was the perfect way to relax and unwind after a long day of sightseeing.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Holiday Inn and Suites in Colorado Springs to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable place to stay. From the friendly staff to the delicious breakfast and the wonderful pool and hot tub, there was so much to love...
Read moreFirst, I want to say I thought this would be an excellent choice to use our free anniversary night based on the IHG website. When we arrived at the location, we were shocked at the number of vandalized buildings surrounding it. It gave you the feeling you were heading into the ghetto.
We were a bit concerned about parking our vehicle in the parking lot and asked the hotel staff if this was a safe place to park. She proceeded to tell us that the homeless do tend to come around between one and 3 AM, but in the six months she’s been there they haven’t had an incident. The hotel is located right near the homeless shelter, according to her. We didn’t feel safe walking to the “advertised walking distance to downtown” area.
Once we got to our room, it did appear clean, but the bathroom sink had hair in it., and the water wouldn’t drain. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, as you sat on it, you sunk to the bottom. It should have been replaced years ago. I went to make coffee in the morning, and they had a nice supply of K cups. Problem is, there was no K cup coffee maker to make them in.
We went down for the morning breakfast at 6:30 AM and they don’t open until 7. They did have cereal and milk out for the early risers. The famous IHG cinnamon rolls were out for us and the other people waiting, but they tasted as if they’ve been there or reheated from the day before. We threw them out. When my husband went to get coffee, the coffee pot was empty. The juice machine had a sign on it, but it was out of order, and there were two pancakes sitting on a plate next to the pancake maker that wasn’t even working for the next 30 minutes.
Our vehicles survived the night, unscathed.
The location sucks. You couldn’t walk somewhere and feel safe at night if you wanted to. There were no surrounding amenities.
Do I recommend this hotel?...
