What a lovely tea shoppe! Sometimes you don't know what you've missed until you rediscover it in a new shoppe in town. Years ago I used to frequent Bernideen's, down in Old Colorado City, and have missed going to a tea oriented store since Bernideen retired and closed her elegant store. I found FestiviTea because a coworker and I were talking about local places to buy loose leaf tea and I googled search terms for it. I am so glad I visited! You can order a cup or a pot of tea, and purchase catered bakery items to go with your tea. I had the Orange Earl Grey blend and an Irish soda bread type scone, filled with dried fruit, orange rind, and caraway seeds...both so delicious! There are four tables to sit at for tea, and an array of lovely things from local artists available for purchase. Everything from tea cozies to custom tea blends, to ceramics and home decor (all beautifully handmade!). I had a wonderful conversation with one of the owners, we talked about tea, travels, their workshops (offered by many of the same artists), and I don't know when I've had a pleasanter afternoon. I am excited to return, and do an afternoon tea (reserve in advance) with a good friend of mine. And might I say, a huge plus from me is that actual teacups, plates and pots are provided when you order, rather than the plain white cafe style I seem to get at other local tea houses. My daughter and I wanted to have a few hours together, and since one of our favorite activities is having tea, I found this Tea Shoppe online. They serve "High Tea" Wednesday-Saturday, or one can order and bring their selection home. We were very pleased with the tea selection, the selection of food included with the High Tea was delicious! The ambiance of the shop and "restaurant" was very relaxing. Quiet music played in the background, the shop had many cute tea related dishes and other knickknacks and sold loose tea if you wanted to bring some home. It was difficult choosing our two tea selections because there were so many, but we shared our choices. We purchased a couple of teas to bring home. The two servers/greeters were friendly. We plan to return with her daughters and maybe the male members...

Love Love Love the atmosphere and decor...and to top off the enjoyment of having a bite or two AND delicious loose leaf tea, the staff are engaging, but not nagging nor bothering us except to refill our beautiful teacups! A girlfriend introduced me to this place and I've been bragging to other friends about this place! EZ to find and get to as well! I plan on frequenting this establishment again and again! I also found out that they have craft workshops held in the back of the establishment. I think I'll see what's available in the future to enjoy creating something for my "new" apartment!
