I’ve been a member for over a year now and feel I can leave an honest review. For reference, I workout between 6 and 9am. Pros: Weekday Front Desk (before 8am): KJ always greets you with a smile and is happy to discuss any concerns or issues you have. I love seeing his face every morning! Price: the membership price for the equipment you get is a STEAL!!! Equipment availability*: lots of plate loaded options and rarely will you have to wait to use something. Even if you do, most people offer for you to work in. Cons: Cleanliness: This place is SO dirty. Equipment has layers of grime, bathrooms are gross, the women’s stalls don’t lock, hand soap requires you to pour out of a jug that everyone else has grabbed after doing their business. It’s also really hot in here most days. Culture: There are people here who make judgy comments on my workouts, things like “that’s unnecessary, must be something you saw on TikTok” (I brush it off because I’ve been lifting for 10+ years but imagine how discouraging this would be if someone was brand new to lifting). Also, as much as I respect other political beliefs, some days it’s hard to ignore the vibes. You are surrounded by Trump flags, signs, a cardboard cutout, and Fox is usually playing loudly. It feels like Trump is being shoved down your throat and it can get really uncomfortable with current events. Equipment: aside from how disgustingly dirty everything is, a lot of the cardio equipment only does some of what it should (e.g. only 1/3 of the treadmills have a working incline). All that said, I’m renewing my membership as I’m hopeful that I will see some things change over time. The people here during my morning hours are all friendly and serious about their workouts so you’re not waiting around for 5 college kids to all get videos for their social media. I have brought my friends here and would recommend people give this gym a try, even if just for a week, to see if it’s the right fit as there are some really big positives to...
Read moreLiterally the best gym I have ever been to. This is an old school iron gym. The energy and testosterone in the air is palpable, yet there is absolutely no judgement or looks from the many body-builder type people there. Everyone from older folks to younger folks work out here. This is obviously the spot most competitive bodybuilders go from across the front range, so if you’re looking for that environment, this is your place.
This gym is portal back in time to 1985. Old school equipment, vintage posters everywhere, and even a dog and cat to say hi to. You might hear Van Halen or Def Leppard playing loudly on the speaker system. There might be a guy yelling while he benches 450 pounds. You never really know. Very friendly and communal, and most regulars know each other (yet you can come in and fly solo no problem). They open the back garage door when the weathers nice. Plus, it’s cheap! Every time I’m back here I get in the best most enjoyable...
Read moreWhy do I give it 5 stars. I have NOOOOooooo idea. But I do walk past it at least once a week and man is there surely some dudes up in there ready on "pumping you up" 💪 or is it pumping me up! Cause why else would I get excited by walking past this gym! It could be that I'm in a hurry! Or those barking dogs from the homeless dude that lives outta of his car, or maybe the unhoused encampment I'm running away from when I drop my kid off next door at the indoor Ninja Gym.... Which is the purpose of my visit, it has nothing to do with this sweat shop. I might go in and check this place out. But I suspect I'll be laughed out of here cause I'm about as skinny as a bean and 99% of my body weight is water, than skin, than bones! Just fyi I weigh in at mind...
