Brooklynn's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Colorado

PLEASE EVERYONE READ THIS BEFORE GOING HERE. This place doesn't even earn one star. I went there with friends when we were out at downtown steamboat for the day and the girl at the front counter was nice. Then when I decided to order a plain slice of pepperoni pizza, people who got there 10 minutes after I did got their slice first. We decided to wait inside and I was watching the guy that was preparing the food, and it was absolutely disgusting. What looked like the owner or manager of the store (he was wearing a different colored shirt) left after we had been there about 5 minutes to let these people that didn't look older than 25 run the place. He BLEW HIS NOSE then DID NOT wash his hands (this was before the manager-guy had left, and he said nothing). He ATE and drank OVER other's food. There were chemicals right next to pans to prepare food in. These people wouldn't even pass ServSafe qualifications. There was no handwashing sink even in the kitchen, only in the bathroom. I was telling my friends about the disgusting actions of the man who was preparing the food, and he must've heard me and gave me the dirtiest look. We had a 2 year old with us and we are soo lucky she didn't get sick. They really need to check their employees before they allow them to work there. I'm definitely never going back and I hope noone else goes there so they don't get food poisoning from someone...

Super Amazing Crust. There is a long list of reasons I would choose to go back to this location. One of those reasons to elaborate on is how excellent the topping portions where for the price of the pizza. I feel this pizza joint actually cares about the customer in ensuring the best most yummiest pizza with a wonderful price attached. I would pay whatever they ask. The environment was clean and not filthy as I've experienced in some hole in the wall pizza joints like this. Then still over charge you. The atmosphere inside was upbeat and positive energy even with all the chaos of busy rushes as I'm sure they experience. I still cannot get over how perfect the prize for the pizza was. My experience has been hit it miss with busy tourist spots like this. Brooklyn's pizza did not fail to deliver one incredible delicious pizza. Our pizza we ordered was a pepperoni and half jalapeno. The jalapenos where not over heated or too sweet. Actually had a nice bite. It was nice of the staff to offer some cheese and peppers sprinkled on our pizza before we left with our to go order. The wait time was exactly as they said. Thirty minutes for these wonderful Pizza Pies is most definitely worth the wait. I will be going back as many times as I come to visit Steamboat springs. Highly recommend that you call ahead here, instead of walk in as we did, and try not to inconvenience Meg by ordering anything that's not listed on the menu, ie adding bacon.

This place is being brought down by the lady that was extra snarky tonight for us, MEG. Sorry for inconveniencing you by ordering food from this establishment. Trust me Meg, had I read a review close to this, I would have most definitely not have visited this place, and this review wouldn't exist either. People who treat their customers this poorly in a management position, are most certainly, treating their employees similar.

That being said, we spoke with a total of 3 different employees from Brooklynn's Pizzeria. All three had the same professional attitude, and we're extremely helpful. I really wished I had a better experience so I could have gave you guys compliments here, but Meg definitely ruined it for me. I witnessed Meg talking down to two of the three individuals mentioned above. And for that, you receive a single star from me.

Regardless if it makes a difference for anyone looking for a place to dine or not, I feel, as a business owner myself, that I would love to have some outside feedback on how my business is doing in one of the busiest times of the year for this location.
