Are you a Western movies or TV show (Think Little House or Dr. Quinn) fan? Do your kids enjoy historical fiction-- like the American Girls Collection-- Josefina, Kaya, or Kirsten books? You owe it to yourself to go see this collection and restored home as a Western museum.
This restored Victorian house with other house attached had lots of rooms with artifacts, furniture, photos, letters, and accounts of people who were instrumental in founding and making Steamboat Springs, in addition to the story that fits with so many Native Utes, Pioneers, Homesteaders, Early Settlers, to Ranchers, Cowboys, Outlaws and Lawpeople, and WWII era skiier veterans. Read moreThis museum is sensational and the young woman acting as museum guide was very knowledgeable and very friendly and very eager to share her knowledge which added greatly to the experience of myself and family as visitors to the museum. There is no better way for a visitor to Steamboat Springs to spend a morning or afternoon (or both) than to pay this museum a visit. My 5 year old daughter absolutely loved it. Adults will be entertained, enthralled and fascinated by all the museum has to offer. Whatever brings you to Steamboat Springs, make sure you make time to visit this museum. I also add that the restrooms were possibly the cleanest in...
