Update: Management responded with a false description of what happened. So instead of apologizing and maybe learning from this experience to better serve customers in the future, management decided to lie publicly and get defensive.

Had a table here with some friends the other night and one friend was a bit drunk. The rest of us had only had one beer or less. The manager decided to cut off our whole table of 5 while we were waiting for pizza. They never told us we were cut off they just kept ignoring us. Finally we asked if there was a problem and they said yeah, we called the cops on your friend and the whole table is cut off. Could have just come to the table to talk with us rather than assume we were all drunk. And calling the cops is a bit aggressive when the drunk guy wasn't being loud or causing a scene. Could have simply asked him to leave and not call the cops. Liked this place and have been a customer for years but after the way the manager handled that I can't ever go there or recommend the...

As long term locals we've been supporting local business for over 3 decades with a full understanding of the many challenges and nuances of small town resort business ownership. But of late, our experiences with Mtn Tap Brewery have been horrible. A few examples: 1: a 90 minute wait for two pizzas...with no explanation by the waiters, 2: as we brought along a 3YO grandchild who required a few ounces of milk, some smarmy bartender offered, "yeah, bro but we gotta charge you big time." Okay, there's $4 for him trying to pretend he's kind. 3: when after said 90 minute unexplained wait for food, I simply ask for the check and a few boxes for the food to go since we cannot wait any longer, I am met with defensive attitudes. C'mon folks...we all live in this community and try make ends meet. Perhaps the owners could realize that a lot of us try to be really good to the local employees. But there is a reason that the great majority of locals simply don't want to be treated as tourists and...

I've been in Colorado for 24 years. I have friends who reside in Steamboat Springs. I come up there once every few years. I have never given a one-star review but I felt so.... Unwelcomed.I was friendly and kind.. I am fit and pretty good looking.. I'm not super loud or obnoxious.....🤔 It was very strange. We received very poor service. Both of our pizzas were burnt on the bottom.. I'm sorry guys but I used to sell beer and I know a lot about beer. (I know a few of the brewers.. I even worked with one of the.. more popular brewers who ended up opening a popular brewery in Longmont)..... Anyway the beer was quite mediocre. There was some kind of trivia night that started while we were there. I think this is a place where all the locals like to gather. However, I do not think they.. like having any outsiders even if they are from Colorado. Good luck with your business. Seriously rethink the guy in the kitchen not sure what's going on but that food was...

Epic place! Fantastic beer! Food options were missing a little unity IMO. Don't get me wrong, the Rancher pizza was delicious and shout-out to the locally sourced meat (among a long list of locally sourced menu items!). Tried the Last Chair IPA which was full of flavor. Speaking of flavors, the veggie salad was interesting... I enjoyed the compilation of veggies and the orange vinaigrette was strikingly pleasant in the palette but the ratio of barley to spinach was off. Please, more spinach next time! I also tried the bratwurst; the meat was seriously solid, but the side dishes were a total bust: the mustard was flat, the cabbage was also flavorless and the bread was weak compared to the pizza crust. Overall, the vibe was bustling and the bar and staff were busy. Everyone inside is having fun and there are definitely gems in the food menu. I look forward to returning and tasting new flavors and seeing what improvements come about.

Very nice building with a good location on Yampa Street. The employees were all very friendly and ready to help in any way. The service was quick and the seating is ample and good for large parties (if you come before the crowds, of course). The Chasing Sunset beer and popcorn was good. The spinach salad seemed a little small for being the large and had minimal toppings, but it tasted good. We got the Calabrese and the Woodsman pizza and both were good. Both could have used more toppings perhaps, but, either way, both had a good Neapolitan char and flavor. Good place and would probably come back again.

When we got into town, we happened to park right in front. We walked around a while and then came back for some sustenance. We enjoyed a couple of Passionate Pedals and the Mountain Macaroon. You could smell the coconut.😋 We also partook in the Rancher and pizza of the day. A little pricey, but not over the top cheesy queasy kind of pizza. There was quite a bite to the sausage, at least to me. I'm told the signage for the bathroom was very good. The atmosphere was fun with plenty of seating to enjoy the good weather. And I think they stole one of my playlists for background music. 😉
