I ordered to-go from here last week. Used to have good experiences in the past but no longer. Noodles & Company is just as good as quality as this spot (now) and much cheaper.
I had an $18 order and felt bad that I didn't have any cash to tip so I asked if they had Cannoli's to which the response was, "Yes, we do". So, I asked for a Cannoli so that I could both enjoy a good Italian desert AND tip the staff. It was a to-go order so I left $2 tip on a $3 Cannoli. Now my total is approximately $23.
I proceed to step aside so they can produce my Cannoli. To my surprise, I wait well over 5 minutes while my main dish is cooling down. I watch the girl who took my payment cash out a guy who presumably worked there and talk with some of the staff in the kitchen. I watched three guys fold boxes the entire time. I finally approached and politely asked if Cannoli's are typically just in a cooler and have to be put in a box for me to take. The response was, "yes, I'll see if I can get that for you real quick". Then, she tasks the guy she just cashed out with getting me a Cannoli. I watch him walk in the back and start preparing my Cannoli with the same unwashed hands he just handled his cash out with. After an additional 3-4 minute wait for a Cannoli and seeing this along with the poorly ran operation and inability to prioritize customers who want to leave tips over having 3 staff members folding boxes, I turned around and walked out. I didn't get my Cannoli and after seeing how they loosely handle sanitization (bare unwashed hands that I just witnessed handling/counting cash now touching the Cannoli directly), I ended up throwing my food away when I got home. $23 wasted, 25 minute waste of time and fuel. I was still starving but couldn't bring myself to eat it after what I saw.
Terribly ran operation!
Response to Mici: I appreciate the offer but there is nothing to make up as I don't care to have the cash back at this point and I'm not comfortable eating food from an establishment that has such poorly trained staff (or just underperforming staff). Again, thank you for the offer but I've provided you plenty of feedback on what my concerns were/are if you so...
Read moreI've worked in customer service for years so I can appreciate when management has put together a process for their team to truly shine. It's a smaller building but has a modern look, family vibe, and suiting music for an Italian joint. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you're greeted with a boisterous and friendly "hello and welcome in." (I have to say I loooved the cashier's hair. It was silvery and long and she was just super pretty. Irrelevant for the review but I had to say so)
They have a good, diversified menu that's cooked to order. We ordered at the counter, my order being a salad and lasagna and my SO got pasta alfredo. Once your food is ready, they deliver it to your table. I could tell the salad had fresh ingredients, as the lettuce, peppers, and onions were crunchy and the tomatoes were ripe and red. They also gave me enough dressing that I had some leftover, which I can legitimately appreciate cuz I hate when there isn't enough. I thought the prices were on point, not breaking an arm or leg for a little date night meal.
My lasagna was delicious. I didn't like my SO's pasta but he finished it right up. I was soooooooooo full after, so I'd say the portions are perfect, if not too much! The bread was delicious. My lasagna came with two big, thick slices cooked just right. My SO thought there was too much oil on the pieces but I thought it was just right, so I'd say it'd be determined on preference.
I definitely recommend and I'll be coming back on one of my lunch...
Read moreThis was our second trip to this business. Our first trip was to the micis on arapahoe and s university. That trip was a disaster. The food is overpriced for what tasted like a microwave dinner. The customer service was poor,it was as if the employees were annoyed that they had to get off of their phones to help us. Later on that night my Son became ill. This was the only food he had to eat that day. We decided to give your company a second chance because not all franchises are the same and we hoped this location would be better so we went to the highlands ranch location. Big mistake. The customer service at that location was pretty bad also. The two employees that helped us seemed out of it, like they were stoned, as we had to repeat our order 3 times before they got it right when we got the receipt we noticed that a tip had been added to the bill when we hit the no tip button. Very frustrating. Then we got our food. Bland and small portions for the money.I have had microwave food that is better than this overpriced slop! NOT A GOOD VALUE IN ANY WAY!!! When I complained about the tip being added they said they would refund the amount but I haven't seen it hit my bank yet. Suffice it to say we will never be back and never spend another dime at this horrible...
