First experience there and probably wont ever go back if i can drive a few minutes to a different location. Only had an interaction with one Barista who was super rude and kept giving me a weird/disgusted look.. I try to always be happy and spread joy, and maybe she took that as me trying to make her look bad? 🤔 It was so confusing, she has dirty blond hair and gave me my Venti Caramel Frappe/Sandwich/coffee cake @ around 12:47, I checked the time on the app to make sure no one else gets in trouble for her attitude (I dont ever remember having a bad experience with any Starbucks employee besides this), the app says the order was placed @ 12:44. You guys can check the camera and hopefully have audio to have this as an example to learn from her mistakes or however it will be handled. I work in Customer Service, and no matter what you are going through: Do not ever bring the customers down just to make yourself look better, feel better, or make them look worse.. Take the day off if you must. I have went to work after only one day off when short staffed after losing a family member and never blatantly disrespected people because i was sad/mad. I only leave reviews if it is superior service, or awful. Sadly, worst barista i have ever had @ Starbucks, i would give her a 3/10 (food came quick even though she never said my name, I barely heard her when she put my sandwich out and grabbed it right away, when my drink was ready, she said, "Your drink is here..." In a demeaning voice, which wasn't too bad but was disrespectful in front of 2 other customers (check video/audio)). I have never seen someone working at Starbucks that i wasn't either impressed with or at least glad they were doing their job, besides her. I just want everyone to get along, and shutting down positivity in a disrespectful way is not what society...
Read moreWent in today for the S'mores frappuccino relaunch. Knew it'd be slammed as a former barista and it WAS. Waited patiently for my drinks but after maybe 15 minutes I got my pink drink but not my frappuccino. I could see it sitting on the counter this whole time. I figured they were out of an ingredient and making more and tried to be patient. However I was a little annoyed no one had said anything about it and my drink was still sitting there. After awhile, Mara who's apron says she's a shift, asked what I was waiting on, and the moment I said "s'mores" impatiently snapped at me, saying they were making more whip for it. Considering I hadn't said anything and was just waiting patiently I was really taken aback by her tone and how she seemed annoyed with me when I hadn't even complained or anything.
I was so flustered by this that when the cold bar barista handed me a s'mores frappuccino I didn't think twice and left with it but realized after I was heading home I'd grabbed someone else's drink in a wrong size.
So I'm still giving 4 stars because In the end I got an upgrade by accident (I'm so sorry, I know how much that can back things up and it wasn't intentional) but Mara shouldn't be so quick to snap at a customer just because they ordered the launch item and added pressure to their day.
I was a barista too, I know these launch days are hard, but I really didn't say ANYTHING and wasn't trying to be a rude customer or anything. I was just trying to keep to myself until my drink was ready.
Everyone else was incredibly friendly despite the stress especially the boy (i couldn't read his nametag, he had fluffy hair and was very nice) running the front POS.
it was about 3:30 when I came in...
Read moreI try to avoid this store like the plague yet many times it’s impossible since the good stores are closed. This store has always been dirty but I’ll leave that topic alone for now. The problem with this store is it poorly organized. As a former Starbucks supervisor I had 6 partners on the floor to run the busiest store in the state. This store many times has 8 partners but they all look confused. Half are standing around doing nothing. They have 4 espresso machines and tons of employees so they should be able to crank out order. So far I’ve experienced waits fo 20-30 minutes. Why? Well a few times they simply forgot to check the mobile order ticket machine. Other times they didn’t even have iced coffee brewed. This store sometimes has drive thru lines out to the street. They have to be one of the slowest stores in Denver.
What could they do?? They need better supervisors. They need to be taught how to do multiple jobs at once vs standing around because drive through is backed up. They need to be told that a 30 minute wait because you lost their ticket isn’t acceptable and you should at least get a free drink. Most stores if they didn’t have coffee brewed or they forgot to check the ticket machine would give you a free drink. Not this store. Seriously 50% of the time I’m waiting forever and eventually have to ask the barista what is going on.
Again I worked for Starbucks at the busiest store in my state for 3 years. I understand drive thru stores. It all comes down to poor supervisors. I saw a guy today take 5 minutes to make 1 frap. A bar partner like that should not be...
