Firehouse Subs — Restaurant in Colton

I have been wanting to try this place since I’ve heard about it. I am always in search of the perfect Italian sub so far Jersey Mike’s is only one that comes close to the ones from New Jersey! I went into this restaurant and ordered four sandwiches two of them were completely incorrect, I asked for my Italian sub dry with the Italian dressing on the side because I don’t want the bread to get soggy. I get to my friends house and there’s a big glob of mayonnaise mixed in with this finally shredded lettuce on my sandwich that was supposed to be dry! Mayonnaise does not ever belong on an Italian sub, my sister ordered a vegetarian sandwich and did not want the sautéed onions because she doesn’t like sweet things on her sandwiches so she requested raw onions not only did her sandwich have the sautéed onions on it but it also had jalapeños and peppers that she can’t eat! So we get to my friends house and they have their sandwiches to eat and we have nothing to eat for our little picnic together! I will never go back to this place again and Jersey Mike’s will reign in being the best Italian sub maker around! We wasted $20 and didn’t even get to eat lunch with our friends! I am not one to complain unless I’m extremely bothered. I came in to this location yesterday 8:20 and they closed at 9. The associate said she couldn’t make any “hot” sandwiches because the grill and toaster were not working. I sent in a complaint to the store for the unacceptable behavior of the associate for simply not wanting to serve my husband and I for the simple reason that she didn’t want to clean again. The manager of the store calls me the next morning apologizing for the behavior of her associates and offers me a combo if I would like to return a different time or day. I go in to get dinner for my husband and I once again. I let the associate know that the manager said I would get a free combo for the situation I had to encounter. The associate said the manager only said to take off the drink and chips. I’m upset because I came given this location benefit of the doubt and I one don’t even get a full combo taken off. I have been there numerous times and last time and this time sent my niece to pick up something for her son which she does every tuesday.Last time the order was incorrect and this time also. So I went back with her to take food back. And to my surprise a person who made my first experience a top 10 was there.(Andrew). I explained the situation and we did not know that if you have an option hot or cold sandwhich. But it not even that if you just order your sandwich as usual not asking for it to be a cold one,it will be warm. Which my grandson loves.Andrew took the time to explain that to us where the others did not. You need more people like Andrew and the tall guy,sherin,shaun,Don't know his name exactly.
