I have been a very loyal customer of this particular location for over 2 years and have never had a problem that could not be resolved up until the last month or so. So here it goes.
About a month a go the first incident occurred, I ordered my pizza shortly before they were closing delivery's and the pizza was delivered in an orderly fashion. I tipped the driver who was very nice, and i took my pizza inside. At first glance there was a burnt peace of some sort of meat on top of my plain extra cheese pizza (I've ordered the same pizza for 2 years), whatever no big deal. I take a bite and pull a long strand of onion out of my mouth, I HATE onions. I then look at my pizza in the light and find onions snaked around all around in the cheese. I call to complain and am told that since they are closing they will have to credit my account.
Next time i order pizza i try to find this "credit", and have to call them. I'm put on hold because they can't find it, and about 20 minutes later i've talked to a manger and they are sending me my pizza. when it gets to my house i not only tip the driver but am told that i have to pay the 3 or 4 dollar delivery fee!... The pizza's fine and begrudgingly for out the 7 dollars for tip (its not the drivers fault) and "delivery fee's" on a replacement pizza.
A week later i order again at the same time, 45 min delivery, nice driver, pizza gets here and whoa more burnt meat and onions. Call to complain, am put on hold, and am left there for 20min with no answer. whatever ** it, i'll pocket it. at this point I'm getting pissed.
Keep in mind that between these experiences I've ordered at-least once or twice with satisfactory results. I order domino's like twice a week because it's convenient.
A couple weeks later i order again, again get burnt meat (more then 1 piece this time) and tons of onions. I call to complain and am told it's because at the end of the night they sweep up the leftover cheese on the table and onions look like cheese, icckk.(unsanitary much, especially with meats) They give me another credit, to which i explain that i dont want a pizza later, I'm hungry now and that this is not the first time this has happened. The guy says there's nothing he can do besides credit me so I'm screwed for the night.
The next day I again call in and after being put on hold am told to call back in 20 to talk to a manager to get my pizza. I do so and the compensatory pizza is delivered with, you guessed it, BURNT MEAT AND ONIONS, that i had to pay another delivery fee and tip for.
Beyond disappointing. I love dominos pizza but this...
Read moreAh, the legendary Dominos at 5164 Central Ave. They certainly have a knack for turning a simple pizza order into a thrilling saga of cancellation drama and managerial theatrics. Picture this: a $150 online order, deemed too colossal for their taste, summarily axed from existence by the self-proclaimed store manager. Upon gracing the establishment with my presence, I was greeted by the epitome of rudeness masquerading as a store manager, who, in a fit of impulsive decision-making, decided to cancel my order without a second thought.
As I attempted to reason with this paragon of customer service, I was met with a barrage of excuses and accusations, as if daring me to question their authority. The cherry on top? The manager - or should I say, the self-proclaimed general manager - who seemed more interested in flexing his vocal cords than resolving the issue at hand. Oh, how I longed for the contact information of the elusive owner, only to be met with repeated refusals and dismissive remarks.
But fear not, dear reader, for there is hope in the pizza universe. I swiftly took my business elsewhere, to the Dominos on Johnson Street, where professionalism and efficiency reign supreme. In less than 30 minutes, my $150 order was fulfilled without the need for melodrama or ego clashes.
So, to those contemplating a pizza venture at the infamous Dominos on Central Ave, brace yourself for potential outbursts and consider exploring greener (or cheesier) pastures for your...
Read moreOur delivery driver Timothy who drives in an orange vehicle speed into our parking lot to our door. Once we saw him from our apartment balcony we sent down a person to receive our order. He then speed off to another entrance without communicating us that he was here and then left with our pizza order. I called the driver and asked him to turn around within moments time as I watched him speeding out of our parking lot. He said this happens all the time and I explained he didn’t wait even 30 seconds at either entrance for us to receive our order. I told him I tipped you! He seemed not to care and said we just had to call the customer service like as though it was a regular occurrence to him. I’ve never had a pizza order drive off on me like this in my whole life. Times are changing. We spoke to the manager Katie shortly after who we explained what happened to us and she took side with Timothy who clearly lied and shouldn’t be delivering pizza. Katie did not help our situation as a store manager and said it was our fault that we weren’t outside in the winter waiting on Timothy. No pizza. No service. Dangerous driver. Won’t be back! My biggest advice, do not tip your delivery driver in advance through the app, I was not refunded the tip, and the driver’s carelessness didn’t come close to melting my customer expectations. Pay...
