DADA DONER — Restaurant in Columbia Township

an incredibly cute little restaurant situated in a cozy spot downtown. came in to get my fav wrap and noticed they had new meat. i’ve always loved the chicken, it’s super juicy and flavorful on its own but paired with sauces and rice i’m usually very very picky about my red meat in döner especially having lived in turkey and eating the real deal… my review is this: for american meat (which will never have the quality of turkish meat) it is really great. the meat has the lamb and beef flavor without overpowering your palate with oil. the salad provides the nice fresh bite of flavor. you could eat the meat alone or add sauce which i did both of. i love the durum bread and how refreshing this bite can be. i’m sure with iskender sauce and yogurt it’ll be even better if you prefer that instead of a wrap. overall great wrap, fully satisfied and recommend everyone to...

The brick and mortar of a local food truck, Turkish wraps have made their way to Columbia. The pita is the star of the show unfortunately, as the rest of the wrap falls flat on flavor. Three meat choices, each of which are the only seasoning to be found. Each bite is the same, half way through the wrap I found myself hoping for more tomato or onion to bring brightness or variability. The sauces need more punch, flavor, and impact. The spicy isn't spicy, the white is yogurty (lost underneath the dominant lamb), and the curry sauce felt like my brain fooling itself that the flavor was present.

I don't write a lot of reviews, but I felt I would be doing people a disservice if I didn't. I'm not from the area & only came here because of the good reviews. I should have looked more into this place before coming here. For one, they only offer a lamb/beef mixture which I'm not used to. Anyway, I got a doner/gyro with Tsaziki sauce & the chicken iskender plate with the tomato sauce. The gyro meat was dry and tough. It was 3:30 on a Saturday when I got it.
