Two stars is a bit generous. My wife and I last visited 4 years ago, and it had certainly gone downhill.
For starters, the food was incredibly bland. My wife ordered the lamb kebab, I ordered the chicken parmesan, and we got some butter sauce pasta for our daughter.
The chicken parmesan was soggy, and the chicken wasn't even breaded. It was pieces of chicken I presume are for kebabs.
The butter sauce noodles we ordered were nothing more than boiled pasta and nothing else. We brought this to the attention to our waitress who informed the cook. He scolded her and told her and had her tell us they were out of butter sauce.
The bread (and to a lesser extent, the hummus) was all that was palatable.
The only reason I don't give this place one star is that our waitress, Sarah (bless her heart), was very sweet. She was very polite and served us with a smile.
All in all, we have no intention...
Read moreIn the 5 years that I've lived in Columbia, I've eaten at this restaurant often. I'd go so far as to say it was my favorite restaurant in the city. But today I ordered through Uber eats, they charged my card, and it said "waiting to confirm with restaurant" for over 2 hours. I called and was told they don't do Uber eats anymore. Instead of trying to fix the situation, they berated me and the manager told me they were too busy to help me, despite having waited 2 hours for food that was never going to come. They have definitely lost a loyal customer.
UPDATE: they called me back an hour later and offered nothing but excuses. They didn't offer to make it right, or worry about the customer. All she could say is that they were busy and someone had called out sick. I can understand dealing with that internally, but don't make it your...
Read moreMy husband and I came in for the first time and ordered the kafta platter and the chicken shwarma platter. We also got a side of hummus and bread. We were severely disappointed with the portion size of the hummus compared to the price. But, the hummus and bread were the best parts of the meal. The chicken shwarma was lacking the distinct spices that make chicken shwarma. My "kafta" was a joke to be honest. It was just ground beef with no spices at all. It was like they took a hamburger patty and cut it in half and cooked it on the grill and put it over rice. The portion size for that was small as well. I've been all over the middle east and have been hosted in the us by various Arab families and I've never had kafta or shwarma this bland. The hummus and fresh bread were the...
