Oh my gosh... the food here has been a LIFE saver for our family during quarantine. Nightcaps has been serving some amazing family style meals, as well as their normal menu items.
Just some of the delicious food has been pork dumplings prepared perfectly (the sauce is so good), the Mediterranean chicken with orzo pasta (has a hint of white wine in the flavor), yummy springs rolls (with a unique sweet/spicy sauce), grilled chicken pizza (I don’t know what it is about the flavor, but it’s unexpected and superb), I keep stealing my toddler’s chicken fingers, because combined with their sweet honey mustard, they’re addicting. The mussel pasta, steak pinwheels, and fried green tomatoes were also delicious. OH and the spinach/artichoke dip is fabulous alone, but with their crispy buttery garlic toast, it’s basically a religious experience.
The family style meals were shrimp and grits with a spicy tomato sauce, a classic chicken/pasta dish, lemon chicken with veggie teriyaki rice, grilled veggies, and a shepherd’s pie. And I’ll say I’ve never had grilled veggies as good as these (especially the zucchini) , the smokiness and flavor of them are out of this world amazing.
You can also buy from a pretty big selection of beers to take home to stay safe with social distancing. Their staff is super friendly and helpful, and ordering their food has just been an incredibly good experience every time. Highly...

Visited this place about two weeks ago and it was soo good I wanted to keep it ALL to myself! Another great late night option for drinks AND awesome food!! It's very chill and laid back. It's gotta be one of Columbia's best kept secrets (until now!).
Let's get into this food though! So for an appetizer I had the spinach artichoke dip made with parmesan and mozzarella cheeses served with buttery crostini.
A veggie pizza was the entree (sans the pineapple that originally comes with it) and it was so yummy y'all 😋 and sooo cheesy (like a certain food blogger we all know clears throat👀)
Anywho! They offer two menus one for M-F 5pm-10pm and the other is for after hours and the weekend. I remembered to take pics! The beer selection is very vast as well considering the place itself is pretty cozy.
Also, thank God they offer Truly bc I gotta save my carbs for all of their awesome food! There's also a pool table too.🎱
SOOO what are you waiting for?! ominous whisper treat...
Read moreNightcaps struck me as a below-average bar. It definitely epitomizes the term "dive bar," but I don't really mean that in a good way. The inside of the restaurant was very old-fashioned, but to the point of looking gross and unkempt. The bartender wasn't exactly rude, but I had to stand at the bar for about five (5) minutes before having my order taken.
What I really didn't like about Nightcaps however, was the other patrons. They were very obnoxious and rude, and struck me as being very cliquish. When I was standing at the bar waiting for my drink to be made, this lady screamed in my ear to the bartender, and became visibly upset when the bartender wouldn't drop what she was doing and immediately close her tab.
In my opinion, Nightcaps tries to serve as a "classic," "relic of the past," type of bar, but kind of misses the mark.
It wasn't...
