We drove a long way to check this place out.
PARKING IS AWFUL. Luckily, we found one spot left. The parking lot was not designed for the amount of business this place does. It's very chaotic.
There was a line out the door, so if you plan on going on Sunday around 11am, just don't. Go early and beat the line! They did handle the chaos well. Kept check on people in line and made sure we had menus.
It kind of rubbed me the wrong way that 2 college kids ran to get in line ahead of us, even though we parked way before they did. Okay, no worries. Well then, 2 other snobby college kids pull in & jump in line with the other girls after we've been waiting for a good 10 minutes at this point. Just plain rude & I hope their snobby tails read this post! Our dog was in the car waiting on us while yall were worried about which coffee you wanted to get🙄
Anyways, after waiting for 30+ minutes we made it to the counter. Cashier was super friendly & cheerful. Thought it was kind of strange that workers were eating on the line up front, standing around with a lobby & parking lot full of people. I get it, we all get hungry & it's hard to find time to stop... but walk out of sight of customers at least.
We ordered over $50 worth of food. Sure wish we could have eaten it fresh, but at that point we just wanted to get to our destination. Breakfast sandwiches were phenomenal. Shrimp & grits are delicious. Cinnamon rolls were massive & definitely hit the spot.
Next time we will come earlier & avoid the college kid crowd. I know it's a college town, but I'd prefer to come when it's quiet & less chaotic.
We will definitely be back when we have more time. It's hard to find a good cinnamon roll these days since they closed down...
Read moreThis place is great. Cinnamon rolls the size of your face, the earlier you go the better (obviously, it's a place thats bakes fresh rolls and definitely more fresh stuff!) I usually go for just cinnamon rolls but do like to switch it up. When you buy a sandwich you get a MCR (mini cinnamon roll) with it and there's nothing mini about it. I've only had one mediocre experience and it was still GOOD, they had just had a, I guess, soft opening and I ordered about 10min to closing and I work in the service industry so I must have been crazy. Now they've fine tuned everything, everything is always amazing. As far as I know its a small business, which is awesome because screw corporate, and the location IMO is great, nestled back from the busy road but still on it. When dinning outside traffic noise is minimal, the house next to it is beautiful would love to own. If you haven't been and are thinking about going or even if you're not thinking about it, GO! Give this place a try. And no, I do not work here, I work like 3 blocks from this business.
If you go to a place that bakes fresh dough, both gluten and gluten free, and you have celiac don't complain, you're the one taking the risk with possible open-air contaminants and you should be aware for yourself. I'm not trying to be insensitive just informative, flour does float around somewhat and I know it sucks because you can't eat but 'be aware, flour is there,...
Read moreThese cinnamon buns are the best with sweet Hawaiian dough and cream cheese icing. They just melt in your mouth. Even more so, their savory sandwiches are delicious. I had their pepper steak sandwich with sourdough and then with their ciabatta bread. I'm not particular about most sauces, but I loved their garlic sauce with the steak, pepperjack cheese, and eggs. It normally comes with grilled onions and mushrooms, but I had to ask without them. All their entrees also come with one mini cinnamon bun. Their classic cinnamon bun is my favorite but iif you are feeling like a swwet tooth, I would recommend their specialty cinnamon buns: banana foster, strawberry cheesecake, wildberry cobbler, peach cobbler, maple bacon, apple, etc. There is seating inside if u want to eat their. It's not the most romantic dining atmosphere, but the service is very considerate and attentive. They even offered me water while I waited for my to go order. Sadly, they only have plastic silverware even when u dine in, but most of their entrees are tender and flavorful, so they are easy to cut up if need be. I would be careful about eating this food in the car as it can be messy, but it's all worth it. We had stayed in SC for 2 days, but after stopping once for late breakfast, I had to stop their again the...
