Two of my friends and I Decided to go to this lounge that i have visited several times before. We arrived around 10 pm on a Friday, paid 15 to get in and i asked the young lady at the door which area can we sit in and she advised either one (upstairs or downstairs) was ok. We ended going upstairs where the dj was. Now when we got up there just about all sections were free but had the reserved sign on them. We stood About 10 mins until we could catch a waitress in order to be seated. She told us we could sit on one side of the booth bc that particular side/table was not reserved. We sat, ordered drinks and food and AS SOON as our food came out another waitress kneeled down in front of our table and proceeded to tell us we were at a reserved section and the party is maybe 15 mins out, and we needed to pick our food up and move to the next table which wasnât even 5 ft away bc the entire booth was reserved, and that in fact after 9 PM on the weekends all sections upstairs are reserved only. She stated that we could move to the next section because that party wasnât on the way as of right now but when they got there, we would have to then move again possibly downstairs. So I proceeded to explain how rude and embarrassing that is to ask us to move not one time but potentially one more time again after the next party arrives, when we were told to sit there in the first place. I stated so there may not be a guarantee that there would even be seats downstairs, she stated she didnât think there was any seating, but she would check. Then When i waived (i assume) the mgrs over to speak with him he was basically very dismissive and did not offer no other solution but to say theres no rush and to take your time and eat. We at that time asked for togo boxes and before we could even pack our food the reserved party was already sitting in the booth with us and the adjacent booth we were told to move to, party was there as well. We ended up only being there a total of maybe 45 mins. Now i am not taking away from the fact that the food is always hot and good every-time i have ever visited, however you need to do better as far as communicating how the seating is after a certain time on certain days and to not disregard the concerns of customers just because they are not paying for a section. Its...
Read moreSo to be REALLY real, Sky Bistro wasn't even in the vicinity of our food radar last night. My friend and I actually went to ANOTHER spot with dinner plans. The website specifically stated they close at midnight on Sundays, but when we arrived at around 7:30 they were closed. So here we are, dressed and past hungry trying to figure out where to go. I Googled some possibilities and Sky Bistro was one of them. And because they didn't close til 10, there is where we went.
The spot itself is very cozy and nice, but we were still kind of apprehensive at first because we just knew we were the oldest ones there lol! But we stayed and maaaaaaaan are we glad we did! That food was AHMAYZIIIIIIIING and it was A LOT!! My friend got the Ceasar Salad entree with chicked added and the 10 wings appetizer (spicy flavor). I got the Lounge Salad entree and added shrimp and the 10 wings appetizer (honey lemon pepper flavor). They served our entrees and appetizers to us as full meals rather than separately, and because I was sitting facing the direction the food comes from, I saw it coming before my friend did and my mouth fell open. TWO people could EASILY eat off ONE salad and be satisfied (my salad was OFF THE CHAIN by the way), and the flavor of those wings was BANANAS! My friend is still raving about his meal too! Add to that the fire playlist of 90's and 00's R&B and hip-hop the DJ was dropping, plus the overall chill vibe and our server, who was the only server last night, (she was AWESOME and I wish I'd gotten her name because I want her as our server EVERYTIME), ANNNND the fact that we only spent $60 TOGETHER and we agree that we'll definitely be back!
So YES, while Sky Bistro was ORIGINALLY the op, we both agree that maybe that's where we were meant to go from jump, because it was...
Read more3 strikes youâre out is the saying. This was my 3rd and final time visiting this business. The first time I visited, the food and vibe was good. The second time I visited, it took forever for my food to come out and it was wrong. The most recent visit was the worst experience Iâve ever had when visiting Columbia. First, I walked up to the establishment, four security guards were talking to one another, none of them stopped me and told me I needed to be searched before entering. I walked into the building and a security guy rushes from across the room and tells me that I couldnât come in because I didnât get searched. How is that my fault? After exiting and being searched, I came back inside to take a seat an open booth/table. Not one server acknowledged me for 25 minutes. Servers were dancing with customers they knew and having the time of their lives. Finally after waiting, a server came over and asked if I needed anything. I asked for a menu to order to go, and a hookah menu. The server came back with the food menu. I ordered the fried shrimp and steak wrap with fries. The young lady at the hookah counter was extremely rude. I attempted to ask her for a menu and she started yelling âI SAID SOLD OUT.â Not sure how she was sold out as I continued to watch her help other customers that she obviously knew on a personal level. The lounge was not busy nor was it packed. The other servers in the establishment were more focused on the small wedding after party that was in the building. I paid $45 for my food and I left. I was prepared to spend at least $200+ but after the service I received and the treatment I endured, I kept my money in my pocket and went back to my hotel room. The best thing about the night was the food was well prepared and...
