First, I must say Juanita was very cordial, very professional, maintained a beautiful boutique, and it was obvious she put her heart into her work. She also charged too much (in my estimation). Unfortunately, I entrusted her with one of the most consequential events in my life...my wedding day. I did so based on a referral from a friend. It's been 9 years since we got married and I am obviously still upset. Our venue for the ceremony and reception were beautiful. I had time to focus on making the venues beautiful because I trusted Juanita with all the dresses. In retrospect, I should have been a bridezilla. Dad walked me down the aisle while our violinist for the day played our favorite wedding march. The only problem was that I felt like an ugly bride and cried all the way to the altar. After multiple fittings with Juanita, I collected my dress days before my wedding and was not pleased. It is still one of the biggest regrets of my life. I waited all my life for that day and it went south because of Juanita's poor sewing skills. My husband's eyes did not light up when I entered the Church. He looked shocked and sad. He was really disappointed. Thank God for the kind person he is. He spent a great part of our honeymoon wiping my tears. I couldn't enjoy our special day because I did not feel or look beautiful. My dress was poorly made and so were my braidsmaids'. Their dresses were terrible. After paying over $350 each for them, they were such hot messes that we all went to the restroom during the wedding rehearsal and just cried. I bawled. They flew in from all so had no time for alterations the night before.They did their best to console me but to no avail. It impacted me so much that we do not even look at the wedding pictures anymore. Whenever I look at them, I experience the hurt all over. I've had a few bad experiences in life but those dresses were by far my worst. I spent a lot of money on those dresses and regretted every penny. The emotional impact was more severe as I was crying in almost all the pictures. I was so upset that I couldn't even pick up the phone to call Juanita. I even contemplated asking her back for my money or have my lawyer write her. The experience was terrible and I would never want this to happen to anyone else. Ladies, take it from me...purchase your bridal and bridemaids' dresses from official wedding boutiques and deal with alteration costs. Never ever have someone design and sew them. It's a choice you may regret forever. I wrote this review because I'm thinking of getting the dress remade for our 10th anniversary and I'm reliving the pain all over. Juanita is AMAZING at what she does! She truly has a gift and she is an absolute delight to work with. My original seamstress bailed on me last minute because my "dress was extremely complicated" and she was "too busy with other dresses", so I took it to another seamstress who also said it was difficult and "should've been purchased by someone who needed minimal adjustments." When I found Juanita, she said my dress wasn't a problem at all and have no issues with getting it done in THREE weeks. Mind you, I need it to be hemmed, the straps shortened, the waist brought in, the armpits to be cut out so they wouldn't cut into me, the beading fixed, cups put in, extra material (netting) removed from the back, AND a bustle ...Oh, and she was working on other dresses besides mine, of course! I never leave full reviews like this, but Juanita is top notch and I would recommend her to anyone. I will absolutely be back when I need...

I trusted Juanita to alter my wedding dress after a wonderful experience working with her 10 years ago at her previous location. This experience wasn’t the same. The hem was not done the way she promised. When I returned to pick up the dress, it still had safety pins in it. The lady in the back who does the alterations after Juanita pins it did not notice them, and Juanita yelled her name to bring it to her attention. Awkward! I ended up taking my dress elsewhere to have it finished and fixed.
