Do not let your child work here!! Poor management!!!! They’re mean and insensitive!!! The manger Chrissy has poor communication skills when addressing issues and concerns which is alarming because it’s mostly under age kids that works for this location. Manager Chrissy was not pleased with my child performance and aggressively told other staff members “That she’s starting to get pissed off and they better get her if they want her here”. Then proceed to talk to her in an aggressive manor. Also told another manger (forgot her name but she was very pleasant and knew how to communicate) that my child knew what she was doing she just didn’t want to which was a lie!!! My child is 15 and this was her first job. If she wasn’t pleased with her performance. She could have handled it in a more professional manner especially being the adult, talking to someone else’s child. When I asked to speak to the owner Dan to express my concerns he came out with a I don’t have time for this stance. When I explain what was going on he stated that he was there all day and he didn’t hear anything. I told him that my child has no reason to lie. He then proceeded to tell me that maybe it was her interpretation. That’s when I knew for a fact that he didn’t give a damn. Took my child and left. As a parent I’m not leaving my child under adult supervision who lack skills in handling adolescents. Sonics is a franchise where kids usually get there first work experience. Read moreAWFUL first time experience this evening. Thankfully we were just in Columbia for a doctors appointment so I won’t ever need to visit this location again but talk about crazy. I get there to check in on the mobile app and the app isn’t working. So I go to walk towards the door to let somebody know I’m trying to pick up a mobile order and the kid was very polite. He went and checked on it for me he came back out and he told me that the Cook had left and that there was no one here to cook my food and I might have to wait on him to get back. What? That’s super weird. I’ve never been told that anywhere before so I said oh no I’ll just go ahead and get a refund then. So then the next thing I know the manager walks out full of attitude she was a skinny black girl, with long braids pulled back and she goes, “what you want a refund for the food’s read?” Very nasty. I told her what that boy told me about there was no cook which is why I was asking about a refund. And she had the nerve to look at me crazy and tell me that the Cook had prepared my food before he even left as if I was supposed to magically know that. No, I’m so sorry about the miscommunication. Read moreAs much as I love Sonic food, I just had the WORST experience at this location. I’m still in disbelief. They only had 2 people working for lunch hour on a Saturday. Whoever the manager of this branch is doesn’t care at all about their employees, or else they would have been there helping. I ordered on the app at 12:10, it said it’d be ready by 12:16. We waited in the picnic area and played around for a bit (had two kids with me), realized it had been about 15 minutes and no one came out with the food. We tried calling by pressing the button at the stall, no one responded. About 30 minutes after placing the order I walked to the drive thru window. The employee looked like she was too tired to care about anything honestly. She wasn’t very apologetic, just said well there’s only two of us working in here, and there were too many online orders for them to make. About 45 minutes after placing the order, we went back to the window. They had cancelled it. During this time I tried talking to their customer service line to give feedback, and they were extremely unhelpful as well. Fast food restaurants CAN afford to pay employees better wages to maintain consistent staffing, they just don’t care about situations like this. So anyway.
